IMO, the best deal is the two pack of 4Ah batteries for $48.

Get the fan; it's a really good deal. That's the newer model from this deal:
https://slickdeals.net/f/15951505-2-pack-ryobi-one-18v-4-0-ah-compact-battery-charger-kit-one-hybrid-fan-99-free-shipping

Except instead of 2x 4AH battery + charger for $99, it's 1x 2AH battery + charger for $30.
Gonna quote a user from that thread on runtimes (using a 4AH battery, so ~ halve them for the 2AH battery)

Since it's "hybrid", that means there's a male plug underneath where the battery goes in, so you can plug an extension cord into it and into the wall to run it off normal house outlet power.

Anyone know the size of the the vac accessories in the A32SV04 RYOBI 4 PC. Stick Vac Accessory Set? Are they 1 1/4" diameter, the size of a typical vac accessory for a vacuum (not shop vac) ? I need them for my Karcher vac which uses 1 3/8 but have an adapter to use 1 1/4. The brushes in this kit look decent

I have their 3/8" impact wrench that I use for lug nuts on a truck and car. Works great.

I already got a dozen or so batteries but another couple 4ah for $25 each is pretty good, especially now that they are lifetime. I like the 3ah octane better, nicer flat design, but these are similar powerwise. I bought 2 and the 2 sander deal early this morning when I got the email.

These are Ridgid standard batteries. Not great if you are using big equipment such as a reciprocating saw or hammer drill. The max batteries were on sale at DTO a few days ago.

Regular or subcompact? Should the subcompact be sufficient for a standard sedan as well?

Welp, got the high volume inflator (for pool floats), power scrubber, hand vac, and a 50ft Rigid air hose for my compressor. Not bad for $90 including tax

Any of them should be fine for lug nuts on passenger cars and light trucks.

Avoid my mistake and just grabbed the one with the highest torque, it is the size of most 3/4 inch air guns and is not light. It does work good on swapping trailer hitch balls.

Factory blemished qualifies for LSA, so yes these do.

Any reconditioned do not- and you get a tool that has "recon" stamped into it
This is incorrect. Only batteries that come as part of a kit are eligible for LSA. Loose batteries are I think three years only.

This is false, I have 4 of these loose batteries from DTO registered with the LSA.

I'm tempted to buy another 2 of them, but with already having 5x 4AH batteries I probably don't need more.

You are incorrect, it used to be just kits years ago. Now it doesn't have to be a kit to get LSA

This thing worth the price vs the non-brushless rotary tool?

That hasn't been true since around Spring 2021, when the Octane line was discontinued, and all batteries were made eligible for the LSA.

~$50 for two 4.0Ah batteries is about as good as I've seen it, beaten only be a very fleeting deal when Home Despot had the two-pack bundled with the single-slot charger for that price.

Like people, batteries do have clocks that start ticking as soon as they're born, but given LSA coverage, it's harder to argue against buying now, even if there isn't an immediate pressing need.
