IMO, the best deal is the two pack of 4Ah batteries for $48.

Get the fan; it's a really good deal. That's the newer model from this deal:
https://slickdeals.net/f/15951505-2-pack-ryobi-one-18v-4-0-ah-compact-battery-charger-kit-one-hybrid-fan-99-free-shipping

Except instead of 2x 4AH battery + charger for $99, it's 1x 2AH battery + charger for $30.
Gonna quote a user from that thread on runtimes (using a 4AH battery, so ~ halve them for the 2AH battery)

Since it's "hybrid", that means there's a male plug underneath where the battery goes in, so you can plug an extension cord into it and into the wall to run it off normal house outlet power.

Absolutely. Not even close. Blemished is new in original packaging. They have to apply the phony word due to Ryobi contractual arrangement with Home Depot.

I've purchased at least 15 blemished items from Direct Tools Outlet. All were new in either plastic or retail box. The two times I risked purchasing reconditioned items I got away with it, but they were haphazardly dumped into a huge generic box with no protection whatsoever. That told me it was hit and miss. Others here have reported bad experiences with some reconditioned purchases.
Not my 3600 psi ryobi pressure washer. I got ripped off and probably have to do a chargeback since they don't respond to emails apparently. It came with gasoline in the tank when I finally opened it a few days ago, didn't come in the original box, and it also was leaking profusely from the triplex pump during first use and missing bolts… 🧐 will let u know if I ever get a response from them

The full size stands up on it's battery well but dribbled for what that is worth
Get the two speed one with drip tray. So much better having two heat settings + the drip tray is gold

I would go with this combo: https://www.directtoolsoutlet.com...t/P2036VNM

That has everything you need to get started. Then maybe try to find a deal on two of the stronger 4ah batteries

Is factory blemished better than reconditioned?
Blemished = new

Reconditioned = used - someone's return that they just sell again. Some are worn out, some arent. I got a reconditioned angled nailer. It looked like someone bought it, used it very heavily for several weeks and then returned it. Pressure was low, nail area was all gummed up from the nail glue so uneven force driving nails. Had to do a deep clean, lubrication, reset of pressure. Didnt look like there was any reconditioning done at all.

Your choice whether the lower cost is worth it to you. It wasnt for me. I want my tools to work when it arrives, not for me to fix it first.

You might be correct with large lawns. I have the 40v and it works great. But my lawn needs are so low I'm sure I could get away with 18v. The lawn is mulched then I blow away anything that intrudes on the sidewalk or driveway

That's the first I've heard of that with Direct Tools and blemished. I wouldn't allow an extreme outlier to dictate impression.

Actually the same type of thing happened to me a few weeks ago on eBay. I bought a supposedly new WEN 2250 inverter generator from a seller with a spotless reputation. The box immediately smelled funny when I brought it inside. Everything looked perfectly new and fine when I opened it up. But sure enough when I tipped it sideways during inspection, oil leaked all over the place.

Anyone think that Ryobi gas pressure washer with the Honda motor is a good deal for $264?
It's a great deal. I had this one for a few years and never let me down. Plenty of power for home owner projects.

I must agree. I have purchased hundreds of items - many for resale - and not once has a blemished tool arrived any differently than it would from Home Depot. Same exact experience with recons. Got lucky a couple times I ordered but they were reckless with packaging and shipping. Hope that helps someone.

That is a great blower as far as 18v is concerned. Even though it's been out for some time it is about as much power as you will find coming out of a single battery 18v blower. Maybe some that are slightly more powerful but that ryobi whisper can't be beat for $100 w battery. I'd they have the 40v version that looks similar it is a nice step up and usually similarly priced.

Interesting data point. It seems these heavy gas powered machines may have more to their "blemished" stories than other products… mine had oil and gasoline in it… who ships gasoline? Oh ya DTO does
