I'm interested too. Every time this deal comes up, people complain about quality, but no one says where to go for a complete high quality set.
Werd! And for $20!

got this last time. They aren't high quality but its a good set to have around when you need screws/bolts/nuts
Can confirm, I also have this set. You wouldn't be nuts to pass this up, but you won't be screwed if you do get one. I wouldn't bolt to the store to pick up this deal, but if you're at Lowes, it might be good to have around just in case.

I do not recommend. I'd rather buy the case for 5 bucks than buy this for 20 with washers I will never use. In fact where is the lock washers and the nuts? I wouldn't even bother , buy a case that can hold more and start your own collection that you would actually use. I just don't see the value after tax even with a military discount.

most people would have collected hundreds if not thousands of parts already over the years sitting in parts bins.

ok I guess if you want to look handy and fill up your empty garage
But let for those who haven't this is a good place to start

Sure but when you can go to harbor freight and buy better quality nuts and bolts you will actually use id beg to differ. Id be more interested in a storage cab for 20 vs getting this

Got this last time. The bolts nuts washers and screws are low quality but you get what you pay for. I've used a few for random stuff around the house and they've all held up under light pressure.

Like many reviews on Lowe's website say the sticker is very annoying. I didn't bother wasting my time trying to remove it all the way.

The sheet metal screws and machine screws in this kit have been fine for my purposes - I secured a rack to hold drills, batteries, etc to a metal cabinet using some of the sheet metal screws and it has held up without issue. Did the same with some other smaller objects like a nitrile glove box holder. I've also used a few machine screws I didn't have in another kit for 3d printed tools, and those have also held up fine.

I wouldn't dare use cheap wood screws for any project I cared about, no matter where they came from, but the sheet metal and machine screws have held up fine considering their applications. If you're doing something heavy duty, you should probably be sourcing higher quality hardware. That's not in the same price range though - my "good" set of wood screws was almost $100. If I was a homeowner or novice trying to complete a crude project, I'd probably take a gamble with breaking a few cheap wood screws instead of buying hardware that exceeds the value of the project I'm working on. If you're more experienced and working on more complex projects, it should be pretty obvious that cheap hardware isn't worth the risk of ruining a piece.

Is this a better deal than just ordering all of the equivalents from Bolt Depot or similar? Not sure. But for my purposes it has been acceptable.

Oh yeah and regarding the sticker, it completely ruins the case and you're probably gonna have to submerge the thing in a tub of Goo Gone to get it off. I just said "screw it."

Supposedly these are low-quality junk... based on posts and many reviews... Can someone actually recommend a set that's BETTER wherever it is sold, lowes, amazon, ebay?

Seems likely that applies here. It sucks to run to the hardware store and pay more for a few bolts, but not as bad as doing the job twice.
This is exactly how I felt long after buying a $200 55" TV. What a great quote.

If it saves you that $10 in fuel to go pick up the $2 nuts there's that as well.
Unfortunately, the one part you need is always the one part you don't have

Anyone know if these would be good for fishing lures? Seems like a decent price for 3 connecting tackle boxes...???

Don't buy it!!!! OMG!! You know the labels you try to peel off, but they come in pieces, leaving white paper that you have to scrape loose with a razor, yet there's still a residue. This has that type of label, but it is 6" tall and wraps around the entire thing. Where all those cases "separate"? The label spans all of that. I started peeling it off, realized what I was getting into, and returned it.
