If you aren't aware, Paramount+ has free 1 month codes 1-3 times a month. You can do multiple free month promos as well. If your account is active the codes do not work. But if you cancel your account then let it expire, you can use another new code to get another free month. So you can keep getting 1 month free then cancel, expire and rinse/repeat.
Paramount+ is free with Walmart+, which is also free with AMEX Platinum, which is also free for any active duty military.

Also got charged after the first free month (of the 2 that they said was supposed to be free after I tried to cancel). Would not suggest anyone take up the 2 month free offer because it feels like 1) it will auto charge you after 1, and not give you a refund no matter how nice you ask them to and 2) your account might be messed up like mine? I can no longer redeem a coupon and also when I cancel my account it tries to offer me 1 free month, it gives me an error when I accept it.
I think I might have to create a new account now to be able to continue using the free codes :/

There is a glitch on the website and the free month for cancelling is effectively a coupon. if you have a coupon on your account (free month trial) it can't apply a 2nd one. I believe though it applies the 2nd coupon ON the billing date so your next billign cycle incorrectly shows 60 days even though it is not possible.
As some others have said here about being billed, before your free trial is up. Just happed to me this morning. My next billing date was 3/4/23 I did a promo code then cancelled in Jan. they offered a free month when I went to cancel, I accepted. Today should have been the end of the extra month but thier system gave me 2 months per when my next payment will be hence the 3/4/23.
I used Privacy card with $3 cap, they tried to charge me today and payment failed. Went in and cancelled still have it till 3/4.
