Pelican has nice quality and good support. However, for what you get, they are very over priced, even with a clearance sale. The flashlights are not very bright. You can find better flashlights for a fraction of Pelican prices.

Definitely pricey for what they are. Especially these flashlight models are quite dated and performance is subpar from present day standards.

You're obviously a regular consumer. Ive been SCUBA Diving for 33 years and have purchased many Pelican products over that time period. I'd pay a little more for superior quality that Pelican offers especially when your spending 7-10k on a Live-aboard dive trip. Gear matters when your in the middle of the ocean with the quality of your trip on the line.

I work construction and remodels and occasionally need a small single hand light for seeing into tight areas where my headlamp doesn't do it. Do you think this would be durable enough for that kind of use? How's the durability of the clip?

With the exception of the higher priced rechargeable models that start at $77, the other lights are extremely outdated. They may have decent build quality, but you're getting very low output in a very bulky form factor. The number of lumens doesn't always tell the full story, but with these clearance Pelicans, there is no story to tell. This company has been holding on to these lights for way too long and should have tried to clearance them out over a decade ago.

I have one of these that I got 20 years ago. Definitely durable. But not bright. I can't believe they still sell the same model. They definitely should have stayed with the times.

Who are you quoting/responding to?
I'm also a scuba diver...what does this deal have to do with your experiences as a diver?
None of these flashlights are rated for immersion under water. The brand doesn't matter if it's not rated for the supposed task.

It'll let me click an item, only shows an enlarged photo, but can't seem to actually add anything to the cart. Edit: And now I see at the top that it's over.
