I mean I haven't even received the first one, but placing another order now, and hopefully it won't get cancelled
Understood. Yeah place the new order and just return the other once you get it. 👍🏼👍🏼
Ironically I was in a similar situation a few weeks back. I purchase the D7500, but had to rerun it because it was defective. Nikon gave me a full refund . Luckily this sale showed up and I ended up re-buying for $200 less.
I was waiting for a sale on the Z6 II for the last 2 months on the refurbished store and got an open box Sony A7 IV body from BestBuy for $1800 and yesterday was the last day to return. I have a few old Nikon lenses that went with my D200. Looks like now I'm in the Sony camp. I like the menu system of the Nikon though.
Thanks for the info. Those benefits of Z5 are definitely great but i do also need the higher frame rate for kids sports shots. I guess i will continue to wait for the Sony FF to go down in price.
Also, if you're interested in taking videos, my understanding is that the Z5 has a disadvantage (crop).

Bes of luck my friend.
D7500 for $650 is an awesome deal, although I got that same deal a few years ago.
Update-
Nikon refund me the price difference, probably because the time was too close.
Shutter count was only ~60, which means it's quite new, and Nikon doesn't reset shutter count for refurbished cameras.
And I love the new z5 so far. Huge upgrade from previous D7000
