tl;dr The expiration date doesn't really indicate a point at which the medication is no longer effective or has become unsafe to use.

For anyone with allergies, there are different classes of antihistamines and newer and older gen. Supposedly, newer gen have fewer drowsying effects but I haven't necessarily found that to be the case. Sometimes you have to try 3-5 to find what works. For me, loratadine (this deal) is crap and Zyrtec (cetirizine) is great but heavily drowsying, so much so that I feel hungover the next day unless I cut a pill in half. That also is not recommended with every medication you take being formulated to ensure a minimum dosage gets people into a therapeutic window.
Not according to my wife. Welcome to my hell. Don't even get me started on thermostat settings.
ask your physician. they're the one who. gave you the shots, right?
For me after 5-6 months of shots it didn't help at all so i just stop and rather take these pills to control my allergy symptoms.
