The marbles rarely make it up through the loop using the POS launcher. When the marbles are released from the top using the gate, they almost always get stuck at the bottleneck. Extremely frustrating experience for your kids.
The most enjoyable component for them was device at the top of the ramp which plays admittedly cool theme music. Save your money.

As others have mentioned the launchers are a mixed bag. The one that shoots the ball like a cannon is very inaccurate and takes a while to figure out and even then sometimes just doesn't work right. The launchers that shoot sideways work pretty well and are a lot more consistent. Like in this set the sideways launcher will shoot the ball up the ramp.
As for the marble making it through we haven't had a problem and we are usually building on the floor on carpet. Yes sometimes they get stuck but it's mostly our own fault not fully snapping the pieces together. Speaking of you have to make sure to pull them apart correctly and not "bend" them apart. My 6 year old does a good job, my 4 year old likes just tearing them apart which does weaken the plastic and make it harder to put back together.
Overall, if you can get them on sale, I think they are worth it. The things that move and/or make sound are cool, the audio quality is surprisingly good for cheap plastic toys, and so far my kids have gotten more use out of them then I thought they would. If you end up getting multiple sets I highly suggest a rubbermaid container as it's a lot easier then the original boxes.
Weird my 4 year old has no problem using it. Sure it doesn't work everytime, but I would guess she gets it to work 1 out of 3 tries. I can get it to work almost every time. There is a certain technique that is required that is hard to put to words, basically hit it hard and firm, but not slap it or quickly if that makes any sense.

Kid's birthday is in August so the time wasn't an issue.
Edit: can't read. Missed the Target Free Shipping over $35. Oh well.
Don't expect Lego level quality for this price and you should be happy.
Walmart has it as well: https://www.walmart.com/ip/Marble.../220181428
