Sounds like a defect or something . Me and many others don't have these problems.

But feel free to continue just buying Dewalt.

if you need the battery only, can use https://www.homedepot.com/p/RIDGID-18V-Brushless-Cordless-1-2-in-Impact-Wrench-Kit-with-4-0-Ah-Batte... [homedepot.com] to hack but keep the 2x6.0 Max Output for $93.22

I also think it sounds like a defective item. I've been using rigid for 6 years now and it's all I buy if it's reasonable in price. My three interactions with support were great, but if you read threads and internet sounds like they may not be so great support wise.

Back to the point, that new charger is garbage compared to the old ones and I agree it's worth 10 at most

I have a friend who's worked at Home Depot for over 20 years. He says the Milwaukee brand is the least returned of the big 3. That's why he believes Milwaukee is the best.
I love my M12 line main tools. but do have some Ridgid - for LSA. Also have some Ryobi for sprayers / foggers, garden. Get what you like.

All I have is 2ah which came with all of my combos. They die so quick when using my orbital sander. This is tempting.

Well, this will theoretically give you 4x the capacity vs a single 2ah battery. It is hard to beat the LSA--I mean batteries have a limited life-span, and a spare one at retail price can almost reach the cost of an actual tool w/ battery kit. If you are a professional carpenter or similar and use these tools to earn your living on a daily basis, well, maybe you would prefer another brand. But for occasional users like me, the LSA promising free batteries for a lifetime by far tilts my choice towards Ridgid. With the new outdoor equipment coming this year, I am also really looking forward to that.

This new charger is technically and ideologically similar to cheapset ridgid carger (kit- one) with the external power supply. slow one, like 60W max (older one was like 100W+ constantly)

Thank you for that link. So just to be clear, if I order the impact wrench and the batteries and have them shipped to me, I can simply bring the impact wrench to the store and I'll be refunded the amount of the tool? Would I have better luck having it shipped to the store and then refusing/canceling the tool?

I'm very satisfied with all my Ridgid tools BUT I have to agree that the on-off switch on the brushless multi-tool is ridiculously hard to switch.

What makes the DeWalt superior?
Nothing! Milwaukee is by far better! As for warranty no one beats Ridgid!

Doesn't make any sense on the batteries - they all use the same cells and RIDGID will replace theirs for free, so hard to see how DeWalt could be better. On other tools agree that DeWalt has a (slightly) higher build quality. But Milwaukee is better yet. You pay more for more quality though, of course.
Milwaukee warranty is trash!
