But now my UPS battery needs to be replaced after 3-4 years of UPS usage and I can't find a slickdeal on a replacement battery. haha. The life of a slickdealer.
I don't do a lot of printing, but it's duplex mode prints on both sides without hassle, and when it gave a "low toner" signal (light displays a certain way), looked up trick on Ytube to reset it (deals with the wheel on the side of the toner). So reset that, shook the toner, and still going 6+ months later!
Oh, and it sits above my desk/station at home in "standby" mode ALL the time. It "comes alive" only when a print job is sent to it. Silent otherwise.
And referencing the post above, a laser printer (all printers?) IS one device that is advised to be plugged in directly to the wall, not even routed through a ups (why would you want a printer alive in case the power goes out?) Perhaps a surge protector, but not ups.

I believe they had it plugged into the ups not for powering when no power, but to supply a short burst of power to keep other devices on because these us so much start up power.

Do you like to share the link for resetting? Thanks.

Still have a HL1440 from about two decades ago. Have only changed the toner (generic) over the years and it still prints great. Connected it via usb to a Raspberry Pi for wireless printing.
¯\_(ツ)_/¯

As long as you get a generic with the chip, you should be fine.

This is a great printer and you can use that mentioned toner with the chip in it.
