Found the Californian?

It's 4* outside right now, supposed to be colder tomorrow. This time of year the roads have almost no shoulders due to snow buildup, and the roads are icy. The trails are either icy or require snowshoes (which I have and do, but it's not a run) or both. Also I have a kiddo - before she's up, it's dark. During the day, I have to work. It already gets dark before she is home from daycare, so of course by the time she's in bed, it's pitch black. It's this or I don't get to run during the week.

(Still haven't pulled the trigger yet, though... still waffling.)

Edit to add: lol, was hoping to get out this morning real quick after daycare dropoff as it looked a little less icy last night. Woke up to a Wind Chill Warning for -30 to -50. *sigh* That might be the push for me...

Like many others, I purchased one of these at the price of $899 and we actually just received it on Friday. It is VERY HEAVY, so make sure you have help getting it into the house and unboxing. It took about 90 minutes to assemble and be ready to use. I do notice a little "thumping" noise as the belt is moving. It doesn't seem to matter if someone is on it or not. Not sure if this is reason for concern just yet, but if it persists I will call the factory.

I called this morning for a price adjustment and after holding for 10 minutes or so, the rep processed a credit for $200 + tax with no hassle at all. Very friendly and easy to work with.
The instructions call out the thumping and it says it will go away after normal usage as the belt takes proper shape. Nothing to worry about.

Freight company told me they'll bring it to your front door or inside your garage.

It says the delivery includes them bringing it into your house through the main doorway. They aren't supposed to just leave it on your porch.
so how do you find out what are we getting?

It says it in the "Thank You For Your Order" e-mail from Nautilus.

What happens next? Here are a few things to know about your delivery process:

> You will receive an email confirming the shipment of your machine, and will be contacted to schedule a delivery appointment approximately 48 hours prior to your machine arriving at the nearest ABF distribution center.
> Your machine will be delivered through the threshold, for example: your entryway or garage.
> Appointments are scheduled in 4 hour windows between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m., Monday through Friday.
> A person 18 years or older must be present for the delivery.

Inside front door or outside front door? Thank you in advance. I'll make sure with them too when they call me to schedule delivery.

The driver comes with a dolly and drops off the mill on a wooden crate. I am pretty sure the driver wont hassle for a few feet in or out

I paid the delivery guy $20 and he brought around back to my split level basement and helped get the box in the door.

This this is super heavy!!
I wonder if $20 is enough to dolly it down my basement stairwell. Do you think it would be easier to unbox it outside and then carry it down the basement steps?

I'm buying a treadmill on sale for $699. I'm a cheapskate, not a cheap stake.
