Get this and if you feel like you should have gone with the 16", then just throw the milwaukee 16" bar and chain on it and convert it to 16". It uses the same tool/body/motor as the 16" saw, this one just has a 14" bar/chain on it.

Be aware this is the 14" version not the 16" version normally seen posted here. So when comparing the price here to past deals keep this in mind. Still might buy though. Any reason to wait for this price on the 16"?

I noticed the same thing. Is this still a good deal on the 14" version?

Ah, so this is not the normal deal of "chainsaw and 12.0 battery " for $400's? I was wondering why they would pair with just a 6.0 battery…
There is a top handle version coming out really soon, it was supposed to be available in January. I would wait for that one if you like top handle saws.

i wanted the 16'', but honestly i think the 14'' will be better for quick/easy stuff when i just want to grab this and go. if i'm doing anything big or all day, i'll go fire up the 20'' 455 Rancher.
especially for 196$ if you don't need the battery... that's a smoking deal.

had to go take a look at that...
a top handle chainsaw, looks odd, really odd. wonder how it feels not having the traditional rear handle (albeit a bit longer than a normal chainsaw.)

14" and 16" use the same body... bar/chain is the only difference... so you can swap bars/chains out later to upgrade if you need to. Uses a Oregon bar best I recall.

Buy the deal shown in the comments where you add the battery... return the battery only.. keep the saw. ... reading prior comments is fundamental.
