Get this and if you feel like you should have gone with the 16", then just throw the milwaukee 16" bar and chain on it and convert it to 16". It uses the same tool/body/motor as the 16" saw, this one just has a 14" bar/chain on it.

14" and 16" use the same body... bar/chain is the only difference... so you can swap bars/chains out later to upgrade if you need to. Uses a Oregon bar best I recall.

good point, i figured it was a special bar... you know how companies love to make shit proprietary so they can upcharge
that said... with the amount of reviews talking about overheating batteries, i'll just use it for smaller work anyway. plenty of smaller trees falling on the property that it'll be nice to not grab and gas up the big guy.
had to go take a look at that...
a top handle chainsaw, looks odd, really odd. wonder how it feels not having the traditional rear handle (albeit a bit longer than a normal chainsaw.)
The top handle saws are made for arborists who need to be able to cut with one hand while in a tree. They're balanced at the trigger handle instead of the wrap around bar. They're not as safe as a back handle saw but if you like to hold the branch with one hand and cut with the other when you're cutting up small stuff it works really well. You can still use 2 hands but it doesn't have as much leverage.

one handed full size sawzall with a pruning blade... i'm down.
one handed full size chainsaw... i dunno man, even if the balance was well done, seems really sketchy for 99% of chainsaw use, especially for homeowners with general wooded property tasks.
If this is the same chainsaw as the 16", with just a shorter bar, does it really cut well with just the 6.0 battery? I don't own a 12.0 battery and would hate to have to buy that too to really make this cut properly.

there's no magic here.
Thanks - so when ordering for pickup, choose multiple pick locations and just don't pick up the battery - right?

it's just run time... they're both High Output batteries, it'll cut the same.

you can do that or just get both shipped and physically return the battery, whichever works with availability.
if you do the separate store option, just be nice and call them to cancel the pickup after you get your saw. just helps clear up their already over burdened pickup area.
and some people call a riding lawnmower a "tractor" (like the people in NJ, that also call the 10ft square of grass in front of their house a "lawn")...
i correct them too

Incorrectly correcting must be your thing. Run with it, Forest.

btw...
still in no way a hack.
you're just returning an item to the store, for a clearly defined amount on the receipt.
