Not necessarily. Real leather is obviously better but synthetic leathers can be fine. Its BONDED leather that is pure garbage.

The best part about cheap faux leather furniture is when the fake leather starts to crack and fall off, then you will find little bits of it on everything until you get fed up and throw it on the curb for the next sucker.

Had a similar Walmart futon for a while. Absolute garbage.

The faux leather is one of the better ones I've seen, but it was horribly uncomfortable for a bed and just barely acceptable as a couch. When flat for a bed, it would tip over if you lie down on the back half.

My gf has a couch that looks just like this,
Its the most uncomfortable couch I've ever sat on
I would not recommend anyone buy this.

Finally these deals are getting the praise they deserve. Lol

Don't buy this, you will regret it in every way. I had a non fake leather version, it lasted fine in my basement for 6 years. I sat on it once because it was so uncomfortable. Thankfully I was able to give it away in like new condition to take up someone else's space.

Had one like this from a couple years ago, not only does it shed little bits constantly but it was impossible to get comfortable either flat or sitting up

I have the black color version. The seat is hard and not even, sitting and sleeping on it is not comfortable. The convertible mechanic is easily broken. Avoid it even it is cheap.
