Have this heater and it makes a loud buzzing sound on the high setting now after a year. Ymmv

1500 watts, like most heaters in this price range.

FYI, what really matters is the 1500 watts rating, so dont fall for fancy gimmicks where you're paying for a $100 heater that just outputs the same 1500 watts.

Overall, this is a pretty decent deal. Most heaters in the $25 range doesn't have some of the features here like temperate control and oscillation.

I have a slightly older model of this. It's worked well for going on 10 years or so. I do have to occasionally take it apart and clean out dust though. I think it has security torx screws, so you need a special bit for it.

Mine had a dial for changing temp, which eventually broke, but superglue fixed that. Recommended for small room. I use it in my bathroom.

Take into account this cant be used with a smart plug as it's digital.

Also, all these ceramic heaters just don't move enough air. They are quieter but only heat up the few feet in front of them. For me personally, uncomfortably hot.

I think Vornado are the only company that still makes heaters with exposed coils. Much less air resistance than a ceramic element.

Any recommendations for a dumb heater to hook up with a smart plug?

People always mixed up brand reputation and model specific issues.
Go look at any big selling heater on Amazon and you'll see a few scary reviews.

give me a space heater with analog controls only, please. I want to control on/off through a smart plug by saying "turn on heater".

For those asking for one with analog knobs; I have had something similar for a while now; pretty good!

I got this about a month ago as a backup. Neighbor got one on a recommendation from someone for their pump house. It has a thermostat function that you can set it to, maintain the current temp so will turn off on as needed. I tested it and then got one for myself, will probably get another one if I can get back to the store while they still have them in stock. Here is a Amazon link for reference and then the store I got it from for the better price.

Where I bought it.

Has knobs rather than digital on off buttons. I have a Lasko tower similar to this posting have had for 10-15 years. Currently in my bathroom for pre-shower warmups still works fine, the comfort zone might have a smaller window for heat, but the fan pushes the heat further. both good in my opinion for use case.

I think 1500w radiator heater will produce more heat at a lower cost.

Old school seems best
