Soundbars claiming surround sound😖

I could almost see using it for my setup. I've got a 48" LG OLED TV that I use as my computer monitor. I've also got a recliner in my office. I use the TV as a big monitor when I'm working (also have a second 32" monitor on the side) but it's a great size and distance from the recliner for TV or "couch" gaming. Im currently just using two Edifier bookshelf speakers, mainly because my old setup had the 32" as my big screen in the room, but it doesn't have any built in speakers. The LG TV speakers are garbage. I don't think I can bring myself to spend this much for a secondary TV watching spot, but I've thought about doing something better than the bookshelf speakers. Especially because they're so big and taking up a lot of desk space. A small soundbar with a sub could go a long ways. I'd never do a surround system unless I was willing to rip open the walls.
