Deals like these are why I went with Ridgid. Maybe they're not always best (although this tool is their crown jewel and has a legitimate claim to one of the best high torque) but they're always damn good tools and if you're patient enough you can get everything you want at bottom tier tool prices. Definitely cementing itself as the best bang for your buck brand.

A lot of people don't want/can't justify paying for top tier but also don't want cheap garbage. Ridgid is the brand for folks like that. I used to be a fan of Kobalt, but their deals are so sporadic and vary based on location that it can be frustrating. Hercules new brushless line up intrigues me, but until they've proven themselves Ridgid is king in this market. The LSA is just the icing on the cake.

Wow, 5 years, good for them. That warranty is apparently new and only applies to certain tools, others are just 90 days.

There's really few problems with LSA, as long as people follow through on the registration. And when the batteries wear out, all batteries eventually do, a simple phone call gets new ones sent on their way.

Factory Blems from DTO can be registered for the LSA. There's even a DTO selection on the registration form for where it was purchased. And even though it says to mail in the receipt, I've always just uploaded it and if the registration hasn't processed in a few weeks, just send them a note asking them to review it and it goes right through.

Got the current high torque impact this winter. Used it, so I can't return it. Considering ordering this and the subcompact for tight spots and trying to sell my high impact for $100 or so locally. Have plenty of batteries, so I won't really miss the 4ah if I have to send it with the wrench.

Think it's worth it?
I have this and the subcompact. The subcompact will handle most tasks. When I had to replace my struts and shocks on my truck I was happy that I had this high torque unit. When I had to repair a leak on my timing cover and had to remove the crank bolt I wish I had this as many others failed at removing it. It's overkill for most jobs but you will like never come across something it won't remove. It also has multiple speed settings so you can adjust rate based on your needs. Only issue under the hook is space. If that's an issue grab the subcompact or breaker bar.

The new Dewalt high torque passed it up recently. Check out torque test channel on YouTube. You're right about the power, but still doesn't hurt to have it available for this price
Not sure why you got down voted, but it's definitely true. Hopefully it goes on sale soon (not holding my breath) because I'm holding off for the DCF900 since I'm already invested heavily in the dewalt 20v line.

Here's the link to the video you were referring to, if anyone has doubts:

No, the current one claims 1,200 reverse torque which would be plenty. And it's lighter. I would keep that.

Yes, it will easily take the lugs off of your civic.

No price match. Call them and ask for an exchange in place of the adjustment. They will pay the return shipping so it equates to a price match except for the hassle of the return.

Going to buy one .Also a good deal on max batteries two 4 amp and one 2 amp for 65
Be aware this tool will not produce the claimed torque without the MAX or Octane batteries. The regular batteries produce only about half the torque. Lots of info available online confirming this include some Torque Test Channel videos on YT.

I hope the average Joe knows how much power this has. More likely to break off the bolts then extract them in the rust belt.

Would this be a suitable substitute for air tools on car lug nuts or is it still too underpowered? Starting to get tired of lugging my air hose around.
Lol, it not only can take the lugnuts off, it'll snap the wheels studs if the nuts are really seized. Seriously. One of our cars went to a body shop who remove a wheel and when they put it back on, completely overtorqued the lugnuts. Was able to get three of them off without too much damage to the studs. The Lugnuts were trashed so they were replaced. The last two were so seized up, I just kept the wrench on them until they snapped off so that I could get at the hub to replace. Could've done it with a breaker bar, but so much easier using this impact driver.
