Why does everyone hate on 1 ply? 2 ply is essentially 2 layers of 1 ply (usually thinner layers,) just use a little more 1 ply than you would of 2 ply, problem solved.

The blue Cottonelle is 1-ply. We much prefer the purple 2-ply Cottonelle.

Really. Plus they can get a Luxe Bidet from Walmart for $20 and just use the toilet paper to dry off.

Because 2 ply's of almost anything sandwiched together are much stronger and less likely to rip then 2 plys loosely folded over each other. (Think plywood)When one ply of paper gets wet or broken it tears into tiny pieces and sticks to things. 2 ply TP is easier to maneuver for children and somehow my hands always get wet in a bathroom when helping my kids.

For the record, I personally don't mind 1-ply. It's paper, gold it over once or twice and it works.

I use 3 sheets of Charmin Ultra Strong. If I have to use even 5 sheets of this, it's no longer a deal. That's the crux. People know you can double up the paper.

The fact that people can't grasp how this 1 ply is thicker than most 2 ply competitors on the market is nothing short of shocking.

Exactly. Cottonelle is the best out there. No lint unlike Charmin (even the ultra-strong).
