Also these are trail runners, and as such are not specifically made for pavement. However, in the two years since I've had this same model, I've run 2 10Ks and 3 5Ks on pavement, along with the associated training and regular exercise on neighborhood streets in these shoes, plus occasional leisure sneaker activities. I've not experienced any of the poor durability claims you make. Even after all that use, they're nowhere near ready for being replaced.

Only sizes 12-14 though 😞
I've used them for my daily 3 mile walk on pavement and the boardwalk and really enjoy them. Very comfortable shoes.

gore-tex shoes don't breathe all that well. Since I live in California, I'll take a few days of damp shoes and rotate each day.
The ATR6 is one of my preferred Hoka models. It does well on the road and light to moderate trail, but struggles a bit on wet surfaces (they made the outsole durometer higher than their full trail shoes for better road durability).
I've ran in sub zero temps with the GTX version, they are very warm. I'm assuming because of the gore-tex, also I can't wear them in the summer, feet sweat too bad
I don't usually use trail-specific running sneakers anymore because I often run 1 to 2 miles from my house to the trails and then do my trail workout for a few miles and cross a lot of pavement again on the way home.... but some sections of my trails have gotten pretty harsh recently due to wear from ATV's and also from utility companies dumping truckloads of 3" to 8" chunks of smashed granite rocks into areas of some of the fireroads that tend to pool up with water so that their trucks don't sink and get stuck. Crossing those granite sections in particular can be painfully felt through the soles of my Brooks Glycerin road sneakers when stepped on at the wrong angle.
The most comfortable shoe in my collection has to be New Balance 1080v12 and the More v3.
Although like I said, others have cought up too. My asics kyano 23 are comfortable, my Hoka Clifton 7 is good. There's a bunch I would wear for comfort before I reach for my ultraboost.

On a serious note, I hear this is a great brand, so it probably would be great for ones on their feet all day.
