great deal, purchased one back on December 10, 2022 for $56.69+ tax/free ship with their eBay deal.
I like this charger and replaced my M1 Macbook Pro charger with this for easier travel. Just a reminder that to get the 100w from one port, you can't have other things plugged into it.
Here's a Charging Guide I typed out that references their photo on Amazon:
Single Port Charging:
USBC-1 - 100w Max
USBC-2 - 100w Max
USB-A - 22.5W Max
Two Port Charging:
USBC1 + USBC 2 = 60W + 40W Max
USBC1 + USBA = 80W + 18W Max
USBC2 + USBA = 60W + 22.5W Max
Three Port Charging
USBC1 + USBC2 + USBA = 45W + 30W + 18W = 93W Total
It's quite a bit smaller than your standard 100w charger block and also can do multiple devices at once, all at fairly fast speeds. I can charge my laptop, iPad and iPhone all at really good speeds from one smallish block.
I have the 735 (65W) and it also powers the switch docked. It is also a slimmer brick so it only takes up one outlet. There's currently a $15 off coupon on anker's website too, if you don't need the full 100W and want a slimmer brick.
I use it as a travel charger (laptop, switch, phone, and Garmin watch in USB A) and for my secondary switch dock at home.
Is the coupon just on the 735? I'm waiting for a good deal on the 715. What's the coupon code, I can't seem to find it on their website.
I don't know, Anker products seem so expensive these days. I don't want to spend $30 or more over what other startup brands charge for chargers
Nobody is selling 100 watt 3-port GaN chargers for $25 as far as I can tell. This product is designed for people who need a high-powered multi-device charger that is very portable. If you don't need a high-powered multi-device charger that is very portable then this is not a product for you.
Remember when Anker was caught for their "no cloud" "private" cameras uploading your video to there servers and tagging your images with facial recognition?
It has $20 off right now - putting it in the same price range
I think it's worth looking at this as an option. A few differences:
- the anker is (slightly) smaller: 67mm x 31.5mm x 56.97mm (taken from Anker's website since they don't like to list actual dimensions on Amazon and instead just claim that it's "smaller"). The ugreen is 69mm x 33.5mm x 69mm.
- anker is an older brand with a decently solid reputation of making high quality products, but in recent months they have come under intense scrutiny for openly broadcasting their webcam's streams with no password protection and then lying about it. This is after claiming their cameras were "local only". Big mistake and their handling of the situation so poorly did more damage to their reputation than the camera issue itself.
- ugreen is newer, but from the few products I've purchased from them I actually like the design better than comparable anker products. I still probably wouldn't buy a camera from them.
- the biggest criticism I have for that product is the price. I'm not sure what is going on with the amazon coupons these days but it seems like just about any brand that knows what they're doing has a coupon. I would take the MSRP with a grain of salt, and instead just take the final price after coupon as the actual MSRP. Because of that, I don't think the ugreen is a true "slick deal" but it's a great product that is well worth consideration!

Just curious, are you saying to not buy from Anker out of principle? Or because their chargers could also be affected/designed to do something malicious?
I personally shy away from cheaper cameras because of nonsense like this, but I don't have as much of an issue with buying the chargers that still seem to be of very high quality.

If you look at the price history on this one, it's not really on sale. It's always offered at this price. Doesn't seem like a bad deal though - if you need it now go ahead - but you can always wait for prices to come down further on this things if you wait.

That's literally the one I picked up this week. I got it for the 4th port. About to go on vacation and I've got lots of devices to charge at once. I'm going to be happy to leave the MacBook brick behind

Don't buy anything from this company.
Can anyone tell me why this wouldn't be a better deal (besides green vs anger):
