One important note people.

For 120 days every night at 12 Fi will ping the SIM, if it is not inserted into the phone you bought you get 500$ charged back. You have to use the Fi SIM in the S23 you buy for entire duration of promo. Learned it the hard way.

Can you use google voice for port in?
With S22 deal from 4 months ago, yes, so I would assume nothing changed.

While confirming in billing I only have a week remaining until my current 120 day $500 off S22 offer is finished, noticed Google Fi now states I can transfer my Google Fi number (was google voice that I used for home phone with OBi202) back to Google Voice. They will give me a new Google Fi number to replace it with. Nothing to do with this deal or the 120 days required to be on the service. Always good idea to have extra numbers to port. Started the 24h process.

With only $140 trade in value for my S22 256GB, will pass on this deal and hope better deals for S23 Ultra come along.

So this require port in a number? Yes or No?
For new customers yes - not sure about existing. It says that you have to transfer a number for existing customers, but it also says you can have an individual plan so it is confusing.

According to the Google chat; existing customers will not have to port in a number. I took photos as evidence.

True, but This from the terms is an issue:

You must also bring/transfer your number to Fi within 30 days of the shipment confirmation email. Numbers ported in must be from carriers that have calling, voice and data services.

Google Voice doesn't have data services as far as I know

You are right. Note is for people who are buying this as a second phone and are planning to port number for sake of promo and continue using their primary phone for 4 months. That's what my stupid ass had planned anywaym

True. And you could even have two physical SIM cards at the same time. Don't have to use eSIM

Sorry but that is not entirely true. After activating new phone sim with Google Fi, as long as you don't insert the Google Fi sim in a "different phone", you are fine. Most, like myself, simply tossed the Google Fi sim in a drawer and no problems getting the $500. Using a different carriers sim in the S22 the entire time.
