this is a SLAP in the face of Sammy for running such a terrible tradein promo. Its under $400 here for S23, Scamsung is over $500 WITH S22 tradein, really Scamsung? while i have an S22 in pristine condition, i may go for this deal and just sell my S22 elsewhere (or keep it for the inevitable Sammy promo coming down the pike). only thing I want is better batt than s22. does s23 provide that?

Can someone update the title and the description? The deal is also available for existing customers without port-in. It is available for new customers and port-in is required for them.

So I have an S22 now. If I trade it to Samsung for an S23 (no plus/ultra for either), it'll cost me $550 to upgrade (based on current trade-in values).

If I get Fi for 120 days at $20/mo (I don't need more than 6 GB), I'm paying $80 + fees for Fi, plus $300 for the S23, AND I can still sell my S22 elsewhere. Does that sound right?

When I use this link: https://fi.google.com/buy-devices it's just showing me the full price for the S23, even when adding a plan (minus the 'free storage upgrade' to 256 GB). Maybe I'm doing something wrong.

Edited to add: This is as a new Fi customer, getting a new #. I don't care about the #.
Don't think you can trade your S22 and then also sell it elsewhere... That would be a trick!

Since as usual there is a lot of confusion. In the last year I have successfully done three Fi purchases all with tradeins. Everything went well. Tradein horror stories seem to be overrated.

First was s22 plus for $399 with iphone 11 tradein for $320.
Second was s22 ultra for $599 with s21 tradein for $580.
Third was pixel 7 for $399 with iphone 8 tradein for $399.

In all three cases the tradein value was refunded back to my card around 1-2 weeks after I sent the tradein phone.

In my case I ported in Google Voice dummy numbers and kept thr line active for 120 days paying $20 + taxes each month.

In all three cases I removed the Fi SIM, put it aside and put in a non-Fi SIM and used the phone. What I made sure was not to use the Fi SIM in another phone.

There is a counter in fi.google.com "Billing" section which shows a instant rebate counter. That can be used to make sure all aspects of the instant rebate are being satisfied.

Where are you getting $20/mo? I see $18 minimum line fee with $10 per GB

Haha, no. You're right, I was unclear. I meant either the Samsung trade option, or the Fi option. Anyway, I see that the thread is huge now, looks like I have some reading to do.

So, the total cost for S23 Ultra will be $600+ 4x30 (4 months min charge) = $720 ? Is that correct, for an unlocked phone? (Minus any trade in if you have)

A little over 20 I'd say, if you don't use data at all. The 20 per month is for talk and text which you'll need to keep in order to qualify for the discount

Off topic, I recently bought Note 20 Ultra, shopping for a slim TPU case, which one you use and can you give any good case suggestions? Thanks.

Agreed... I did 4 trade in's during the last round.

I did one S22 256gb and two S22 128gb purchases with S21 trade ins. Two were cracked screen, one was not. All three got full credit as if uncracked.

I did one Pixel 7 for iPhone SE 2nd (cracked) and also got full credit for an uncracked phone.

No real issues with any of the purchases.

I did take pics and video of the trade-in's in case there was an issue.

$600 + tax for phone.

($20 + tax) x 4 months for service - assuming you don't use any data
