Sorry but that is not entirely true. After activating new phone sim with Google Fi, as long as you don't insert the Google Fi sim in a "different phone", you are fine. Most, like myself, simply tossed the Google Fi sim in a drawer and no problems getting the $500. Using a different carriers sim in the S22 the entire time.

FakeBro, stop spreading Fake information. This is 100% not true. In the last 3-4 months, I purchased 3 Fold4 and all were just activated on the device and now the sim is seating in the drawer, and never got a chargeback. And one device has already crossed the qualification period and the other 2 will complete their qualification window in 12-15 days.

Just an FYI on obtaining a valid cell number to port. I posted this earlier on in the thread but seems to have been overlooked by many as this is a long thread.

I ordered the five dollar per month plan on hello mobile website. It includes talk text and 500 MB data. Free sim and taxes included. The account number for porting is given to you in an email and you can see it as well by logging into your account online, no need to use their app. The porting pin is the last four digits of your phone number, I confirmed that with customer service. Hope this helps some here who need a valid phone number to port and do not want to take any risk with GV numbers as things may have changed this year.

And bonus, the five dollar hello mobile plan second month is free. No coupon code or referral required. This comes in handy just in case the delivery date keeps getting pushed back by Google Fi.

Is the referral 20$ credit only for new customers or are the customers inactive for more than 180 days also eligible?

is the curved screen on the S23 ultra similar to Galaxy S10, or is it less curved?
These phones are in the stores right now. I just visited a verizon store and a t mobile store and got to play with the phone. The zoom on the phones is amazing! Hopefully you have a store near you and you can check it out in person.

I don't like the curve on the ultra because it is more difficult to put screen protectors on it, but I will probably end up putting a whitedome screen protector on mine.

If your FI account had used a referral code in the past, you can't use a referral code again.

I just activated the sim from Best Buy and got a new number.
Going to wait 48 hours and will buy the new S23 ultra on the same account.
When phone arrives, just transfer the sim from old phone to the S23 ultra.
Make few phone calls and messaging, and wait for 120 days.
I would like to thank hpham_53 for his support and help that encouraged me to move forward on this deal.

Thank You.
Can you explain what do you mean you activated sim from Best Buy? Which service is it and is it only to port to Fi?

Didn't get data on tello. Does Google actually knows if data is not active on tello account? Since that is more like a regular number

Yes absolutely. Just put any number for now for order if you don't have the real one yet.
I have the same question but I already bought the number on eBay and the description said is only valid for 21 days and my delivery will be on march 5 to 14 so I think the number will be invalid by that time.

I think he means he bought a FI SIM to activate it on a BYOD and become a FI customer instead of buying a porting number.

With some Fi deals (like the 30-day S22 deal) an existing member only has to stay 30 days instead of 120 days for a new member. So some people (including me) bought a $10 Fi SIM at Best Buy or Amazon and activate it with a BYOD phone and a new phone number to become an existing member. Then wait 48 hrs to make sure Fi recognizes you as an existing member before ordering the phone. With this S23 deal, the only benefit is not having to port-in a number. You get $10 Fi credit on the 1st bill, so the SIM only costs its sales tax.

That's great so in this case we can be free from conditions in 30days instead od 120?

No. This deal requires 120 days for new and existing members. You should read the terms of the promo so you won't mess up your discount.

Got it so doesn't matter where we source thr number for port (or become existing customer). Will Google voice work? It shows as valid for transfer
