Sorry but that is not entirely true. After activating new phone sim with Google Fi, as long as you don't insert the Google Fi sim in a "different phone", you are fine. Most, like myself, simply tossed the Google Fi sim in a drawer and no problems getting the $500. Using a different carriers sim in the S22 the entire time.

FakeBro, stop spreading Fake information. This is 100% not true. In the last 3-4 months, I purchased 3 Fold4 and all were just activated on the device and now the sim is seating in the drawer, and never got a chargeback. And one device has already crossed the qualification period and the other 2 will complete their qualification window in 12-15 days.

Just an FYI on obtaining a valid cell number to port. I posted this earlier on in the thread but seems to have been overlooked by many as this is a long thread.

I ordered the five dollar per month plan on hello mobile website. It includes talk text and 500 MB data. Free sim and taxes included. The account number for porting is given to you in an email and you can see it as well by logging into your account online, no need to use their app. The porting pin is the last four digits of your phone number, I confirmed that with customer service. Hope this helps some here who need a valid phone number to port and do not want to take any risk with GV numbers as things may have changed this year.

And bonus, the five dollar hello mobile plan second month is free. No coupon code or referral required. This comes in handy just in case the delivery date keeps getting pushed back by Google Fi.

You are getting things complicated.

1. You must have an active phone service # with Tello first. That means making receiving calls/texts/data.

2. That is the # you enter in your Google Fi account page BEFORE you activate the Google Fi Sim in the S23 phone. You MUST have an account # and a PIN from Tello to do this port out transfer from Tello and port in to Google Fi.

3. Do NOT insert/use any other Sim in the S23 before the activation is complete.

4.. Get an actual Sim from Tello or another vendor. NOT an eSim since you do not have an eSim capable phone to activate it.

5. Only after the S23 activation and the Tello # port in is complete with its own Sim, you can take out the Google Fi Sim and use the S23 with another provider.
The Google Fi Sim must NOT be inserted in any other phone.

Torn between base s23 and s23u.

Like a small form of the base but worried about its battery and s23U seems to be so much better.

What do you recommend?

Had s10e before and I loved it (small form) and am now using iPhone 11 and 13.

Today is Sunday, so most likely nothing will show as re-stocked.
Give it a business day or two next week to see any availabilities on all the S23 models.

S23 Ultra (cream only) is or was available again since 2-4 hours ago just now. Early March shipping range.

keep checking every free few hours if you think you missed out.

also, from anyone with experience, does anyone know what type of resell value one would get after one time use?

since these come pre-unlocked in the u.s. maybe higher for international resell?

Assuming other colors come back in stock, would support be able to help me change the phone for a different color? Or would i have to cancel and reorder? Would there be any issues with receiving the promotion offer if i cancel and reorder?
