Sorry but that is not entirely true. After activating new phone sim with Google Fi, as long as you don't insert the Google Fi sim in a "different phone", you are fine. Most, like myself, simply tossed the Google Fi sim in a drawer and no problems getting the $500. Using a different carriers sim in the S22 the entire time.

FakeBro, stop spreading Fake information. This is 100% not true. In the last 3-4 months, I purchased 3 Fold4 and all were just activated on the device and now the sim is seating in the drawer, and never got a chargeback. And one device has already crossed the qualification period and the other 2 will complete their qualification window in 12-15 days.

Just an FYI on obtaining a valid cell number to port. I posted this earlier on in the thread but seems to have been overlooked by many as this is a long thread.

I ordered the five dollar per month plan on hello mobile website. It includes talk text and 500 MB data. Free sim and taxes included. The account number for porting is given to you in an email and you can see it as well by logging into your account online, no need to use their app. The porting pin is the last four digits of your phone number, I confirmed that with customer service. Hope this helps some here who need a valid phone number to port and do not want to take any risk with GV numbers as things may have changed this year.

And bonus, the five dollar hello mobile plan second month is free. No coupon code or referral required. This comes in handy just in case the delivery date keeps getting pushed back by Google Fi.

When should I buy the Hello number to port yo goggle fi. When I buy the phone or when I received the phone and sim?
The problem is it looks like we have no choice. The system will ask for the number to port in AT THE TIME OF PURCHASE. It won't port in during the purchase but it does ask for the number.
My question is whether that number can be changed later. I.e. we enter any number during the checkout but port in an actual number later. I wonder if that affects the promotion

Hey here's an idea...try reading these threads. I know it's a far fetched concept. Peace

Why don't you just tell me instead of me reading thousands of comments, most of which are garbage.
If you know the answer, just reiterate. It would have taken you as much time as responding with sarcasm.
And if you are this knowledgeable, maybe you can respond to my previous question:

Does anyone have experience porting in a FREE trial number? For instance, Mint Mobile is running a promotion right now: 30-day free trial of their 10Gb plan (meets all the requirements for the Port In) or T-Mobile is offering a 30-day trial of their eSIM service. Do any of these trial numbers port in without an issue or will the carriers offering these trial services block porting the number?
Real experiences, not hypotheticals, would be appreciated.
I'm not going to tell you because that's not how I found the answer you want me to tell you. I found it by reading these threads and familiarizing myself with this deal. "Why don't you just tell me instead of me reading thousands of comments, most of which are garbage" Yours included, hat a lazy entitled statement.

I'm seeing $80 as the trade-in value for the Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra.

Are people noticing extremely low trade in values for things now or is it just me?

The S21+ is coming up as $252. I wonder what the deal with the S21 Ultra is.

I saw that screen that make you input in a port in number for the head-start but it may not be the same number for the porting.. it is not clear to me. I don't want to risk it for into my main number in and have to port over and lost it.

Please if anyone here can explain to me on this one, it would be helpful. the Wiki Link is not working.

Yes, can change before porting from fi account page... Note, This was previously answered... easier to find any answers you need by searching the comments on a pc (vs reading thru all).

Our community has rated this post as helpful. If you agree, why not thank hpham_53

For those who want to find some information but don't want to read back lots of posts, there's a search function for keywords. See the attachments. Need to do it using a computer. It won't work on a mobile device.

The point was people like you are lazy. Now you've just proven you're a spoiled cry baby brat when things don't go your way. Go back a few pages study up kid you'll be better for it.
Thank God. I was wondering when we were going to have a thread cop on duty.

By the way, nobody likes a thread cop.

And then you called the person a kid.

You don't have very many rep points do you.

I know your kind.

Did you even buy this deal?
