Take the tinfoil hat off. You can delete esims. It's a non issue.
But, does the eSim deletion just happen on the phone, or does the phone talk back to Google Fi that the eSim is no longer active, and therefore one does not qualify for the $$$$ credit?

If it's an eSim then the phone has zero value to me. The whole purpose of me buying this for $600+$60tax+4*$24 monthly = $760 is to TAKE THE FI SIM OUT on Day 2 and the the phone with my current much cheaper carrier. With an eSim I can't take the farm Google Fi sim out. It's soldiered in.

Fk Apple for starting this eSim big brother thing. I hate it.
Google actually started the esim with Pixel 4 I think but Apple advocated for it as well.

Help me decide on this product: Spigen Tough Armor Designed for Galaxy S23 Ultra Case (2023) - Gunmetal https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0BJS878RN
Lot of good case suggestions have been posted already, but wanted to add that I also ordered this one:
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product...UTF8&psc=1

Someone mentioned this on reddit and had a positive experience, seems like a good case

It just deletes it off the phone.

S23 supports dual sim dual standby, so even if it's an e-sim it will be alright. You can still insert your current sim and us its phone/text/data. Just remember to turn off the data for the Fi sim.

Google just charged my CC for the 3rd time since Feb 2. First 2 times, the pending charges were dropped off in a few day. Hopefully the phone will be on the way as expected to be here on 2/20 - 21.

Unbelievable. After getting charged on 2/4 and reverse charged on 2/11, my cc was fraudulently used on 2/14 and had to be canceled. Google cannot change the charge method. Fi CS says to cancel and reorder.

Am long driving. Is the Ultra OOS? Are trade-ins no longer the same amount?

Damn it.
I've had this happen. Just log into your fi account and update the credit card on file. You should be fine.

All 3 models and 4 colors are in stock now. I believe they restocked it.

Around April last year, I placed an order for an S22 using my W.F. card. While waiting for the phone to ship (eventually in May), Amex had a promotion where you get $25 back for every $50 spent with Google/Fi, up to $75 back. I went into my account, added my Amex card and made it Primary, then deleted the W.F. card. But when the order was shipped, Fi still charged it to my W.F. card even though it was no longer in the account. YMMV.
