Sorry but that is not entirely true. After activating new phone sim with Google Fi, as long as you don't insert the Google Fi sim in a "different phone", you are fine. Most, like myself, simply tossed the Google Fi sim in a drawer and no problems getting the $500. Using a different carriers sim in the S22 the entire time.

FakeBro, stop spreading Fake information. This is 100% not true. In the last 3-4 months, I purchased 3 Fold4 and all were just activated on the device and now the sim is seating in the drawer, and never got a chargeback. And one device has already crossed the qualification period and the other 2 will complete their qualification window in 12-15 days.

Just an FYI on obtaining a valid cell number to port. I posted this earlier on in the thread but seems to have been overlooked by many as this is a long thread.

I ordered the five dollar per month plan on hello mobile website. It includes talk text and 500 MB data. Free sim and taxes included. The account number for porting is given to you in an email and you can see it as well by logging into your account online, no need to use their app. The porting pin is the last four digits of your phone number, I confirmed that with customer service. Hope this helps some here who need a valid phone number to port and do not want to take any risk with GV numbers as things may have changed this year.

And bonus, the five dollar hello mobile plan second month is free. No coupon code or referral required. This comes in handy just in case the delivery date keeps getting pushed back by Google Fi.

Guys I am in a weird situation, last year I did the S22 deal, kept my line for 4 month and disconnected it after port in promotion term satisfied (120 days).
I used the same account to order this S23 Ultra, it came in with a Fi Sim card, but in the SIM manager it can't read it, displays No Sim Card. In the Fi App, I can't activate the phone, keep asking to insert the Sim card while its sitting inside, any help is appreciated!

have them send another sim or use esim if you werent planning on using that with another carrier. i dont think the account has anything to do with sim not being recognised.

You can go buy a Fi SIM at Best Buy, or Amazon and activate the S23 like someone posted earlier in this thread. The SIM cost $10 if not on sale, but you'll get $10 Fi credit with your first bill.

Who are those who are experienced using Googlefi service in the past, for the 120 days which needs to be satisfied does it matter if I start the fi plan on today the 27th or is there a benefit to starting on March 1?

I guess what I'm trying to ask is if I have to pay for over four months because there is only 28 days in February. So does the billing cycle start immediately or will it be cheaper if I start on March 1?

Remove and reinsert. Power cycle phone and try again. it worked 4 me after couple of tries

Mine just went to shipped FEDEX ugh and got a imei assigned that is a s23 ultra. Will see. No eta yet.

Anyone know on SamsungCare+ if you get the discounted $44.50 one year, can you extend it another year or 2 after that?

How long after activation before we see "In Progress" with 4 blue check marks? I can call out & receive calls after activation. It's been a couple hours still only seeing 2 check marks.
