Well, I just got an email for all three of my phones stating that the "rebate didn't work out". When I go to the website, it has all of the requirements checked off, then says I didn't meet all of the conditions of the rebate. Under the requirement to transfer a number, it says that step invalidates the rebate, despite being checked off and despite the fact that I ported my main numbers from Verizon over. I wasn't even using a pre-paid service. These are my main lines that I've had with Verizon for 15+ years.

I'm currently waiting for their chat to respond. Anyone else have this issue?
Did you get an update from support? I received the same email.

Did you port in from Verizon also? I'm trying to establish a commonality among people who received that email. (I didn't get that email. My number came from a Fi S22 phone).

I didn't. The chat told me they escalated it and that I should hear back via email within 72 hours. We'll see. There is another guy on Reddit posting of the same issue.

No I didn't port in from Verizon. I also came from a Fi S22 phone. I contacted support and received an email stating there's an ongoing issue and that they're aware of this. Their team is working on it to resolve it. They didn't say what the ongoing issue is though or how long it would take to resolve.

Thanks for the info. The problem is more widespread than I thought. I will be watching for that dreaded email.

Meanwhile, is your counter still counting down?

No. I think the counter was at 58 days and now it's gone. It now says rebate was invalidated on Apr 21 and I'll see a $600 charge on my next bill

Maybe people using dual-sim got the warning as part of the "glitch'? Maybe people using single non-GFi sim and forgot to uninstall Fi app got the dreaded email?

No and no. I'm using the original Fi sim that came with the phone. No dual sim. I haven't made any changes to the sim or my account.

That sure is a stressful situation.

Thinking more about this, I have a question. The post from SlowR1der said "Under the requirement to transfer a number, it says that step invalidates the rebate, despite being checked off and despite the fact that I ported my main numbers from Verizon over". Since your number came from a Fi S22 (like mine below), there's no entry for porting in. What reason for the promotion failure did it say in your email?

I'm honestly not sure. I haven't looked at it in a while and it's gone now.

That isn't the case for me. I'm not using a second sim. The only sim card I've had in the phone is the one that Google Fi sent me and it's been in the phone since I activated it. This is the case for all three of my lines that got this message. My plan was to switch to Fi and use it as my main service since it's significantly cheaper than Verizon.

It seems to be happening to a lot of people. Google Fi changed its name to Google Fi Wireless a couple of days ago. Wondering if that is giving us problems. It seems possible that Fi made changes and it affected our promotions. They need to fix it on their end.

There wasn't a reason given in the email. It was very vague. This is what my Fi Savings looks like. It was fine and counting down until yesterday, 4-21. Everyone seems to have been affected yesterday.
(lol, how do I attach a pic in this app??)
