Agreed. Most people don't care but for an extra $10-15, the UL testing gives me a sense of "don't have to worry about the house burning down" feeling.
This. I'm all about getting something for a good price. But anything electrical, I want to know it's gotten some testing/certification that the few bucks I saved isn't going to cause damage. Especially a product from a company I've never heard of.
