Anyone familiar with competition dog frisbees and what might be the best. Need some hang time in the air to get my dog to jump up and catch it. The Kong one works great, but needs lots of wind to not drop to the ground immediately.

go to skyhoundz. Get hyperflite cs. That's the frisbee they use in competitions. It's great. It floats. Just not all that durable if your pup bites down hard. If that is the case then you need to get the hyperflite jaws. It doesn't float. Is a little bit heavier by about twenty grams I think. But with the right amount of spn it has great hang time. The cs will flip over a bit if you throw with too much spin. Do Not Buy these from Amazon... too many fakes. Been there done that. Skyhoundz is great. You just have to pay ship. But will come out cheaper n the long run if you stock up on discs. You can also get the jaws discs on chewy and quite expensive. I suggest white. Especially if you are throwing in the lake. From there my border collie sees black and purple better than the greens, reds, and blues on land.
edit: White or light green CS in the water. No dark colors. The Jaws discs are extremely durable. Will seemingly last forever as long as you don't buy a fake.
as for the nerf.... it is not something you want to use. It's too hard to throw. It's not accurate. etc.
I prefer the chuckit over the hyperpet and booda. The boodas are really bad. I easily throw these in the house hundreds of times a week. More so when raining and/or muddy. Not saying you are wrong. I will buy the hyperpets if the price is rght. But I do think the chuckits last a bit longer. It's got nice thick fabric and half way decent sewing. Stitching always the first to go on chuckit and fabric on the hyperpet. https://www.amazon.com/Chuckit-Pa...115&sr=8-2

Hyperflite is made in the usa. Pretty sure Skyhoundz is Hyperflite. And supporting these guys supports the sport. Not sure if that matters to you or not. But figured I say it nonetheless.
hope this helps.
