Bought a refurb from buydig end of December. TV arrived with cracked screen and getting them to return it has been a nightmare. The customer service has been awful and they just keep running me around in circles. I would never buy anything from this company again. I ended up buying a samsung with the Educators discount and now im trying to figure out if ill need to involve my credit card company to get the buydig thing sorted.

Every time this deal comes up people mention the 3rd party warranty holder is garbage to deal with and almost never covers anything.

Hm holding out for a deal on a non-refurb. Superbowl coming up and with the release of LG's new OLED tv, the G3, probable that the price of a new C2 will drop.

the a90 series is literally part of their master line for movies, if you bought that tv surprised by its features being focused on showing movies as the director intended...thats on you buddy
What an odd comment. Director intention has nothing to do with a lack of aspect ratio controls!

Wow I am torn with this deal. On one hand, it is a refurbished. On the other hand, it is a c2
I got a refurbished C1 from them. They are basically brand new. Mine had 80 hours of use. The plastic was still on the tv.

As an SDer I am fine with those too, with extra insurance, as cc Ext Warranty doesn't cover those, but I am deal hunting for a good friend of mine and pretty sure he wants a new one!
Why does cc warranty not cover them? Amex terms appears they do cover

We know these warranties only exist on paper. The only "refurbishing" done to these units is the new tape on the box.

Ext Warranty insurance terms and conditions usually exclude used, refurbished items.

I was concerned so I looking through the terms. I believe with my Amex I am covered with the TV. Page 4:

"NO COVERAGE IS PROVIDED FOR: (CONTINUED)
4. one-of-a-kind items including antique, artwork, furs, or previously owned and used items (except when refurbished by the original manufacturer);"

Nice. Yeah, Amex has manufacturer refurbished items, so gotta be careful with step two of their truckery - making sure the item has a warranty from the manufacturer that is covered in the US, not a third party. It seems like it is, given it is 4-years long

I'm not usually afraid of "refurb" stuff... .but a giant expensive TV like this... gonna pass.

When will prices drop though? Shouldn't it be now for Superbowl?

I got a new 65" C1 last year and kind of want the upgrade to 77" but I was barely able to hang the 65 incher on my wall by myself, there's no way I could do it with a 77.

...now I am trying to come up with systems to do it anyways, pulleys attached to the ceiling maybe?

Thanks for that. Reading the reviews makes the warranty laughable. I was planning to purchase the TV based on the 4 year warranty. After reading the reviews of CPS, will wait for a new one to drop in price.

Jesus, it sounds like they've been selling a scam for over a decade, how are they still in business? Couldn't you take them to court for breach of contract or something?

I've been looking for a 42-48inch c2 for like a month and keep checking to see if buydig brought that model back on sale as well. I've heard I missed great prices in December, but it seems like only the 65-83 inch oleds have been slick recently. Sad I timed my market entry so poorly, and keep hoping one of these threads is going to include the smaller sized models as well.
