I installed one of these yesterday for someone who went out and bought one. Picture quality was "normal" for a basic IPS display of that size. Monitor is super thin but the electronics are in a thicker part on the lower half along with the VESA mount, so be aware of that if you expect the VESA mount to be centered. It uses an AC adapter, and comes with an HDMI cable. The monitor stand is two piece. The vertical part takes 4 screws to attach to the back of the monitor, with a plastic bit to make it look sleek. The V base takes one screw to attach to the vertical part. These pieces are aluminum and feel pretty beefy, maybe cast. There's a cheap looking cable management clip that snaps on to the vertical piece.

tl;dr This monitor works fine and is perfectly functional at this price as a normal monitor.



Is the price difference between the two also night and day? LMAO

^After I wrote that but before I posted, I did a quick search here and the Element 32" hot deal was $140, and the 27" Apple Studio Display was $1300. Peace

would this make a good monitor as a photo frame? The stand looks modern. The bezel looks pretty thin, thats a plus as well.

I've been looking for a monitor for that need, basically, going to connect an older roku with a thumb drive full of photos, and connect via HDMI Port.

I was told a wide viewing monitor would be a good one for my need. Would this quality in that rergard?

I've been looking at 24" so a 27", the pics should look nice and big but at 19120 X 1080p and 27", would I lose sharpness/crispness of the photo?

any advise is greatly appreciated..

I'm finding if you have something like Nvidia Control Panel you can use it to add your own resolution and force 1440p. I'm doing that currently on an 27" LG 1080p and its worked flawless, though I'm not a gamer I will add so can't attest to how well it functions if that was tried.

That is incorrect. The FTC actually mandates the use of these terms. To claim Made in USA the product must be "all or virtually all" made in the U.S., including all of the individual parts. Of course, manufacturers can say whatever they want, but if they can't substantiate that it's false advertisement. There is also something called qualified claims, which is when they say Made in USA with foreign parts, and finally there is Assembled in USA.

This product is assembled in USA. Very few electronic components are actually manufactured here but assembled in USA is still keeping jobs here and contributing to our economy. I checked out there website as suggested and they actually have a plant in South Carolina where they assemble TVs and monitors. That is still impressive for an electronics manufacturer, not many electronics are even assembled here.

i'm 38, at my PC doing work a lot during the day. I switched from old 24's up to a 27 and now i'm ordering this as a 2nd. I haven't regretted a thing abot it. Also try this out if you can. I used my nvidia control panel software to enable 2560x1440 progressive at 75hz as a forced option and it's working great so i have my fingers crossed this one will give me the same results.

I did it with a 27 LG and it came out great. Put a wood frame from a mirror I found on the street on trash day and added a Raspberry Pi Zero W. All super awesome until the Raspi died Frown and now there's none to be found unless I pay some dhead on ebay 8x the regular price. Anyway, what's important is at what distance you'll be doing most of the viewing. I watch it at 10 feet so all the resolution question is moot. What helps is to prep the photos for the frame. Nobody has anything but compliments about it.

Exactly. You pay for what you get. The 32'' element was making my eyes sour when I watch youtube, use excel for light office work, and surfing web. Since I switched to ASD, it is obviously expensive, but it is integrated flawlessly with Mac Mini. I couldn't be happier using ASD everyday, i feel so excited just surfing internet. It is really night and day between the good and bad one. I also bought another older version of Apple Thunderbolt Display for $75 on ebay few weeks ago, even 13 years old Apple 27'' monitor is better than this.

I have NVIDIA Control Panel but I currently don't see an option to enable 2560x1440. Does that mean I'd be unable to do so with the monitor in this thread as well?

My experience is different. I am using the Element 32" from last BF. Enjoying it for productivity and streaming. Very nice monitor for my use case, especially for that price. And no, I will not compare it to something 5-10 times the price.

I wouldn't buy this.
The resolution only suits 24".

For 27", resolution should be higher. When you read articles from this monitor you will see the pixelation.

It is fine don't worry about it. I have been using one from dell with same 27" 1080p for years does not matter much at all. Usually won't even notice it unless specifically look for it.
