The Ryobi USB Lithium Power Cutter is on sale for $59.97 if you choose the 3 battery option. $59.97 is the usual price for the Cutter and just 1 battery.

I bought this tool a few months ago, mostly for breaking down cardboard boxes and blister packaging. It works like a charm for blister packaging. Unfortunately it does a very poor job with cardboard from my experience; the cutting opening is just too narrow so gets jammed constantly. Can't comment on cutting something thinner like fabric or leather. If you are mostly looking to break down cardboard, I'd recommend something like the Milwaukee 3-in1 Cutting/Scraping blade for an oscillating tool. Cuts through cardboard like butter.
i'm a huge ryobi fan and have more tools than I need and have been watching for a deal on this thing forever....

but recently got the worx version for half the price, and love it.

Yep I have a Worx brand and use it to chop up my Amazon boxes and plastic bubble packages.

The Worx cutter is excellent on cardboard. Even thicker ones. I've been using the Worx cutter for years w/o problems. There are replacement blades too. However, I'm still on the original blade.

Is it stronger than wrox versus? Does it cut thick cardboard?
Worx cuts thick cardboard. BBQ grill boxes, tool chest boxes, etc.

Have you tried this for breaking down cardboard? Slices smoothly through cardboard. https://www.amazon.com/CANARY-Cor...150&sr=8-2 [amazon.com]
Good idea but still too much effort to cut up boxes.

Ty, total impulse buy. I get way too many Amazon boxes and I think I'd have fun with this cutting them up

Wtf Ryobi? Heavily invested in their one+ line, then they have their 40v line, now a whole new system of batteries?

They already had a 4V line called TEK4.

Unfortunately even though the batteries look very similar, they are physically slightly different and the electrical pins touch in a slightly different place from what I have read on slickdeals.

Bought for boxes and had same experience, ended up returning it.
