I purchased online in the Target app.
Now I can proceed with making three purchases to qualify for their $15 Target Circle reward offer. Thanks very much! :-)

Haha! I purchased mine for Mac Mini, too. I added the GC to my Apple Account Balance so I could use all 10 towards it, rather than be limited to 8.

Big mistake—kept throwing an error at checkout. Chat rep and 2 phone agents couldn't get it to checkout with Apple Account Balance either.
I had the same issue on Apple's website. Pay part of the order using credit card and it should go thru. I put $10 on CC and rest on account balance and it worked that way.

That was a great idea. Same issue. "Your payment authorization failed. Please verify your information and try again, or try another payment method."

$1 to credit card, $10 to credit card, $10 to bank account…nothing worked. At this point I wonder if my account was flagged for adding 10 gift cards to it.

Can some provide guidance as I dont do a lot with Apple services? Is this the cheapest way to pay for cloud storage costs say for a family account? Meaning if we just want cloud storage to backup pictures and such, are there more cost effective ways? Teach me, o great and wise slickdealers!

Mine applied without incident but I did pay the tax on credit card all the rest on apple balance.
I bought the target gift cards and within 15 minutes had the redemption links email to me.

It's not free* as the deal says. It's $50 for $55. Why not just write the actual deal instead of b.s.
If that is a comment directed at me, you're telling the wrong person. FYI once a deal gets popular enough, SD mods update it with their template format. My original post was written accurately.

Here is the current info from the checkout page on apple.com

"You can use up to 8 Apple Gift Cards. Apple Gift Cards can't be used with PayPal or split credit card payments."
The Apple Store app checkout says, "You can use up to 4 Apple Gift Cards on the Apple Store app. Your Apple Gift Cards can be used with an Apple Account Balance. Where is the PIN located? Learn more"

So apparently Apple isn't being consistent on what's allowed. The app used to be 8 and now it's 4, but for whatever reason the website is still 8 according to your findings. That's interesting.

Sorry I am confused how I can only use 4 gift card (in this case, each gift card has a balance of $50) in one transaction and still use 20 of gift card to buy an iphone. Would you please elaborate?
Shall I first buy 20 gift card, load it to Apple Account Balance, and then use Apple Account Balance to complete the transaction? Appreciate your input.

Thanks
You can add gift cards to your Apple Account Balance, or you could physically take them to checkout with at an Apple store.

FYI as of an update in iOS 15, you can go into the wallet app, and tap + to add a card for your Apple Account Balance for easy redemption/checkout.

Do you have your Apple Account Balance added as a card in the wallet app? It was a feature released in iOS 15.

If you don't, add it by tapping on the +. This might solve your issue. Let me know if it does.

The way Apple stock is falling. They better start giving 15$ off $50
I clicked on a stock chart. I chose 1 day, 1 week and 1 month. In every instance the line sure seemed to take a sharp turn upwards.

Seriously, SD is dumber by the day.
