Regarding auto-activation / autopay - if you ported in a number, you are probably safe.
If you chose to get a new number, then your service will activate automatically and you will need to chat/call to cancel autopay. (It seems like chat is easier than calling)

Note that one has a 3rd party battery, as I got the warning, and the other has battery health of 83%. I'm guessing they replace the battery if health is less than 80%.
I don't think there was a color option; both phones I got are black.
I set up both phones on wi-fi before inserting a sim card and checked the sim status in the settings. Then I inserted a non-Boost sim to test. I tested with Cricket and Mint sims and both worked fine.
The bodies of each had minor scuffs and scratches, with the screens in very good condition. Screens also appeared to be original, as the "true tone" option is available on both. Face ID worked fine on both as well.
They came in plain white boxes with a Boost sticker on top and had an OEM usb-a lightning cable with a generic charging brick. (if it's not an OEM cable, it sure looks and feels like one)
$100 is a killer deal for a used, unlocked iPhone Xr, and this one includes 3 months of coverage.

Good news, we're back to normal.
We experienced a cybersecurity incident that affected some of our internal communications, customer call centers, and internet sites. We immediately activated our incident response and business continuity plans to contain, assess, and remediate the situation. Cybersecurity experts and outside advisors were retained to assist in the evaluation of the situation, and we notified appropriate law enforcement authorities.
We later became aware that certain data was extracted from our IT systems as part of this incident. It's possible the investigation will reveal that the extracted data includes personal information. The forensic investigation and assessment of the impact of this incident is ongoing. The security of our customers' data is important to us, and if we learn that personal information was compromised, we'll take the appropriate steps and let impacted customers know.
Thank you for your patience while we restored Boost Mobile's systems. Due to a higher-than-normal call volume, calls to customer care may have longer-than-average wait times. $40 is the lowest plan. Only way to get it lower is making a new account and getting the $15 or $25 plan.

I don't need unlimited and it's hard to earn $30/mo in coins for the $90/3mo plan, so I'm thinking of going for the $10/mo 2gb or $15/mo 5gb "new customer" plan for this iPhone XR after the 3 months are finished.
Would I be able to port the current number into the new plan (Boost to Boost)? Or would I have to port elsewhere first and then back in? If so, is there a wait time for things to go smoothly?
I placed an order for a different phone with Boost and I paid with PayPal,
Initially it showed "Validated" now shows "Error" and Charge was finalized in PayPal so idk,
What happened to those whose status was "Error" here?
Thanks
