Project Farm's highest rated drill bits. These don't get reduced on Amazon very often. That said, if you live in Ohio, Menard's has this set on sale for $24.98… but alas, most of us do not live near a Menard's.

Be careful with Drill Hog. They like to slap American flags on everything and often will use a US made case, but most of their actual bits are of unknown origin.

They also just use a shopify website, have no phone number, and use a rented UPS box for their address. Not really much of a way to run a legitimate business.

I sure wouldn't pay a premium because they have a US flag on their card.
Sorry, I have neither; so nothing to trade. I do have a Rural King, though!

As an aside - I do own this set. I own a bunch of different drill bit sets. This Bosch set does live up to the Project Farm hype. I had to drill out a couple completely rusted bolts on a sensor on one of my cars (using a close quarter drill) and these bits cut through that steel like the proverbial hot knife through butter. I agree the MSRP is a bit of a joke, but these are unquestionably worth the normal ~ $35 Amazon asking price.

These are some of my favorite drill bits. Definitely worth the price and lasts a good long time.

Possible anyone has first hand experience with these Bosch M42 VS harbor freight M35?
Wish there was a affordable M42 115pc indexed kit out there.

I'd recommend www.drillhog.com. They have them. I bought their set during holidays for a discount. They are USA made too

I needed to install a front mount intercooler on my VW. I tried Kobalt, Dewalt, and Makita, and they all broke. This one went through my front crash guard, it's well worth the price
That VW with an intercooler that you were working on wouldn't have happened to be a GTI, would it? I had the same experience you did - I started out with one of those Makita impact bits and that broke in seconds. The next one I tried was one of those cheap HFT Warrior bits - it a) didn't cut well at all, and b) I think the tip broke off. I knew I had the Bosch bits in my tool cabinet and I pulled them out and it was like night and day. Todd from PF was right - these things were amazing for cutting through metal.

Also, my issue was with a electro-mechanic headlight level sensor that was bolted into the rear driver side suspension arm. The bolts were small and totally rusted out. No chance of using even a high quality bolt extractor on it.

because Amazon is full of sh1t... MSRP listed on their site is always garbage.
CCC says average price since 2019 is 32$, still a good deal, just not earthshattering.
Yes the $144 so called MSRP is particularly egregious. That said, I got this drill bit set last year on an SD posted deal for $26. So the current $27 is a decent price.

So far the bits have held up well. I only use them when drilling through metal, usually when fixing/building something for my vehicles. I've got a cheapo set of Harbor Freight standard duty bits for other types of easier drilling.

Fairly certain their replacement warranty is a scam as well.

Read multiple different people comment that the "vague" return process does not reliably work, perhaps at all, and certainly not as a unsuspecting user would assume by the stated policy.

Really would like to find a high value 115pc M42 kit with easily replaceable single elements when needed.

For anyone interested in a 115PC M35 kit, I gambled on the HF kit, and while it is still HF suspect, the bits look to be fairly reasonable. Though I have NO way to validate the %Co of the bit, the grind quality and concentricity of the bits (specifically on the ones I received, make sure to check them) were better than I expected. They seemed to go through hardened materials fairly well, not as well as a "known quality" high priced bit, but well enough, since I need a indexed kit with variety of sizes to hand fit and prototype.

Yes! It's a GTI and the crash bar on this car is extremely tough. I've never had such a hard time drilling just two holes through a metal plateFaint

Drill Hog's website brags about "Montana", but their return address is a UPS store in Rancho Cucamonga, California. While some people report getting new bits when sent there, many others say it is a black hole. And good luck getting anyone to talk to as they don't have a published phone number or even email address.

Searching business listings does bring up a suite in a small office building in Kalispel Montana, where there surely isn't any drill bit manufacturing taking place. But if you look at google street view [google.com], you can see what is probably the owner's sweet pickup truck.

Awesome! I just bought this exact set at the end of January; will re-order and return to get my $5 back. Thanks OP!

FWIW, I used the 5/16 and 3/8 bits from this set on a trailer frame and they worked fantastically.
