I would think drinking liquor before bed would induce, not prevent, hangovers.

Its dissolved aspirin and caffeine with bubbles that make you burp. Quick absorption vs pill form.
What you really want is water, electrolytes and B vitamins. Caffeine is a diuretic and will make the dehydration worse. A lot of folks go for liquid IV, but that just has potassium. Look for electrolyte mixes that have all of the electrolytes in them. Don't drink more than 1 or 2 of those in a day though...overdoing electrolytes can make you really sick.
One that I like is Key Nutrients electrolyte drink. Its about .50c a packet.

Really?!? For just under $5, I'll give it a shot. No OTC mig relief works for me. Alka Seltzer Cold (orange) works wonders for my sinus headaches.
