Hi, I know you're new so it's ok but in general it's frowned upon to call or email about things like that because it alerts stores and staff and increases the likelihood of cancellation. Because of how much this deal blew up it doesn't really matter as they certainly know but just wanted to drop a friendly note about it.

They know it's a price mistake but they can't claim that because they are not TD. And when you get thousands of people calling for a PM, yes it is natural to sound lees friendly because they have to finish with you and get on to the next customer.

They could have said, PM to TD is paused and under review due to suspicion of a pricing error. I think that would have been a better and more acceptable reason.

BB is a business protecting their bottom line after deal seekers kept exploiting their policy. At the end of the day, their policy doesn't require them to match every price. They have the right to refuse any sale or price match, some brands won't allow retailers to go below a certain price, and they don't owe anyone apology for saying no even if you question their reason. People can be mad at TD when these all get cancelled but those who tried intentionally get BB to price match a sketchy deal, failed, and are pissed at BB now, just let it go. They tried to work the system and some failed.

And people would still call them liars. There's a reason why customer service is a tough job. People suck. There is a thread on Reddit where Best Buy employees are talking about this fiasco. There was talk of a customer having to be escorted out by police.

Yes. There is no reason to get upset with BB. We tried to con them into matching a price mistake and it didn't work for most of us. Hell we could have just simply ordered from TD and waited for it to arrive next week.

I agree. Also, even if TD canceled, there's nothing to be mad at. They too are a business protecting their bottom line. I'd rather have my TD order cancelled than them having to fire an employee for a mistake. For some reason people don't think about the humans involved in this mess!!

They were certainly in stock at the time of the order lol
