Some interesting facts.
I noticed Pizza Hut and Jet's pizza are coded as Merchant = Restaurants while Domino's is Fast Food.
In that case, if I want a pizza and the $5 rebate, I should order from Jet's or Pizza Hut but not Domino's
These are the others I have from my previous statements that are Merchant = Fast Food
Arby's
Chipotle
McDonald's
Wendy's
Firehouse Subs
Subway
Jimmy John's
Panda Express
Jersey Mike's
Shake Shack
McAlister Deli
Boston Market
Burger King
Panera Bread
Krispy Kreme
Popeyes
This offer was available under my debit card and Amazon prime card

Got the offer on my checking acct which has NO debit card, so it's useless there. Did not get it on my chase freedom unltd. where I would put a restaurant charge.
Other family members got it on their checking accts which have associated debit cards.
Okay thanks for for reply. I don't know why Chase offers dropdown show the checking account number rather than the debit card when these offers can only be availed when the qualifying purchases need to be made with the debit card. I thought only my account set up is messed up. You would think they have the two mapped in the backend but sometimes I have seen it doesn't work.
I can't see anything categorized as a restaurant in my previous transactions. I guess food and drink should work.
Food & Drink is the broader category. So 3x back CSR either way, but not necessarily Restaurant. You have to go into each individual transaction to see what type it actually coded as.
Can anyone confirm if adding gift cards from Panda express or taco bell qualify for this offer ? not sure if these gift cards are directly sold by respective merchants or outsourced to different processing center which appears totally with a different name on transaction.
This is easily solved by visiting a restaurant and buying physical gift cards, then again I'm sure most people dont want to deal with all that hassle
