Compared to traditional materials like oil-based polyester or nylon, using tree fiber cuts the shoes' carbon footprint in half
48% bio-based SwiftFoam™ midsoles are lightweight and bouncy; an innovative low-heat foaming process means the production of these midsoles requires less energy
External heel counters are made entirely of scraps from the SwiftFoam midsole production process
Heel counters and flared, geometric midsoles help keep your feet steady
Outsoles are engineered to flex, helping to smooth out heel-to-toe transitions and increase energy return
Natural rubber tread on outsoles has a zonal traction pattern that gives you a strong foothold on pavement
Easy to wash: simply remove the laces and insoles, and place in a delicates bag (a pillowcase works too), then choose a gentle cycle with cold water and mild detergent
To dry, shake out any excess water and set aside to air dry; the shoes will regain their original shape after 1 or 2 wears
Don't put the shoes in the dryer; you can hand wash your laces and insoles separately

Went to REI to check these out in person yesterday. I really liked the look of them, but the back end of the sole comes to a very pointy angle which seems susceptible to chipping or any other sort of wear that most shoes with a round angle wouldn't suffer from. I ultimately walked away without buying only for that reason. Have a closer look at the pics before you pull the trigger.

You'll find that protruding rear with most running shoes nowadays. I believe it's suppose to provide more propulsion. Allbirds design is so angular though… kinda make the shoe look like a kid designed it.

Overall these shoes don't even look like all birds, they look like some knockoff ultra boost
