The site doesn't mention that the deal is an extra $200 off if you trade in your old tv so I got it without a trade (I wish I had just traded my old tv) plus an additional $100 off so $1399 for the 65" C2 isn't too bad in my book. Even $1499 isn't but I know how y'all are lol Just sharing if anyone is interested. I could see getting a 65" B2 for $1099 for the right haggler.
Well, they *are* an authorized LG dealer, but the deal is in store only.
Combine that with a lack of warranty/coverage (like the costco deal) and its overall not a great deal if you are a costco member.
But, if you are local to a storefront and dont want the coverage it seems decent enough.
Any more info on the requirements for the $200 off with trade in? Wondering if that applies just to the 65" models you listed or possibly the 55" as well. And did you happen to catch the trade in TV requirements? Any info is appreciated.
Talk to Mike Evans @ San Rafael, CA store. He didn't want me to share price I paid. Tell him Sue from Napa sent you. Trade in....is only $100, not $200. Video Only has plenty of stock for next 30 days and then will discount remaining inventory to make room for next model which will be $2500. 5 year warranty is $100 whereas Best Buy is $387 for 5 year Geek Squad protection. Standard warranty is 1 year parts and labor.
This chain seems to be a place where you can negotiate. I called all the CA stores yesterday except San Rafael. They all had the 65" C2 as the standard $1699 you see everywhere else right now. Their $200 trade-in offer brings it down to $1499. The thing is, they just recycle all the TVs they get traded-in and they are a large electronics recycler so all the stores I called said I could get the $200 off without actually doing a trade-in. I also got the Mountain View store to throw in another $100 off to bring the price down to $1399. When I went to pick it up, they offered the 5 year warranty initially for $100 and when I said no they offered it for $75.
Just got the 55" C2 last week. I called in about the online add. The price was $999 but didn't specify the model . So I called in about the price of the 55"C2. He asked if he could call me back. I said sure. Called me back and said the $999 price is for the 55" B2. Said he would give the C2 55" for $1025. I said sure . On my way over to buy it I thought it wouldn't hurt to go into Best Buy and just see, since they are located in the same parking lot. I was shocked when the BB associate said he would price match the video only price of $1025 for the 55"C2. Point of the post, is yes you can negotiate with Video Only, and you may also get lucky and have BB price match. Good luck !
Great deal. Great store. Got the same 'extra $200' deal MLK day, but without having to give them a tv... I purchased the G2 65", mainly because of aesthetics (flat wall mount) and it's a bit (but noticably) brighter than the C2. Otherwise they are super similar.
Also they threw in a extra 5-year warranty for free (normally $100) 🙂

If you don't mind me asking, can you PM me your G2 pricing? I am looking for a G2 77. Thank you,
