I've got the Ryobi 40V expand-it setup with a few of the attachments. I have to give my full respect to the 10" pole saw attachment. I had to take down a very large Bradford pear from my yard and did it nearly entirely with the pole saw. My neighbors all tried to flex their gas chainsaws, but all three had some issue or another (and my Ryobi 40V chainsaw had a bad blade). All the while the dang Ryobi pole saw just munched on through it. It was the hilarious underdog that ended up saving the day. Yeah, 10" isn't as long as a normal chainsaw, but I would cut from both sides or slice it into chunks. Blades also seem to last way longer on this than they do on my cordless chainsaw.

I also have the hedge trimmer attachment and ended up just getting the separate 40V hedge trimmer to use most of the time. The attachment trimmer is much louder and more awkward to use unless you actually need the extended reach. Even then, I wish it would articulate to be able to trim the top of tall shrubs.

It may be time for me to try the brush cutter next Wink

While this deal is for the Ryobi attachment. I just want to mentioned if you see any Hart (walmart exclusive but their power tools are made by the same company as Ryobi) attachments on clearance at Walmart, get them as well. I bought the Hart brush cutter attachment from Walmart on clearance and it works with my Ryobi.

Most of the expand-it tools are fantastic, the only one I advise against is the edger. For the love of me, I cannot get that thing to work properly. It constantly binds up and cause the safety shutoff to kick in. Like, CONSTANTLY. Everything other tool is rad.

Does the brush cutter come with the blade? I already have the edger attachment and love it! I have the pole saw in my cart

Too bad the snow shovel attachment isn't part of the sale.

Yes, people have tried and succeeded, but you'll have to do some searching online. I remember watching some YouTube videos.

Killer deal for the cultivator. I've had one for 20 years that came with a gas head but has been used 40 volt for the past 3 seasons. Tills to a true 10 inches.

The brush cutter is designed for green brush and vegetation. Not what I considered brush like small trees and shrubs. Maybe 1/4 inch branches and stuff.

There is a video on YouTube that shows a guy sharpening the blades on the brush cutter to tear down small trees and bushes like butter. It's really amazing. It's so effective, I think id really be scared to accidently hit my won leg. It woukd darn near cutt it off. Scary. Haha.

off topic but I just used my reciprocating saw for the first time on some tree branches in my apartment complex parking lot. Haha, don't tell them! This tree has been hanging over my car for a couple of years and it was time to go!

Only thing I would add is that some are for "gas powered" and some are for Battery powered. It's not that you cannot use the metal articulating hedge trimmer attachment but if you do so standing in any water you'll probably kill yourself. Again some are ok with battery power some would be a bad idea. The instructions for the metal articulating hedge trimmer do say don't use with 40v battery.
