I bought this around the first of January for $15.97 and then it immediately went up to $33.59, and only now it has now come back down to $15.97, not for sure how long.

It's a great cord for spacing yard lights out or similar usage without having to run separate cords for each. It is very heavy and has a very heavy jacket. It is 14 gauge, and for less than most 14ga outdoor extension cords cost you get two extra outlets, evenly spaced about 8 feet apart along the length. Very handy.

(For comparison, $33.49 @ Homedepot) [homedepot.com]

This is what zip cords are for. Much cheaper and easier to work with. I've got 6 of these cords new in the box collecting dust for the last decade.

The same story. Got two of these, thought they would be useful in Xmas setup, but in reality I still use regular cords with 3-way grounded adapters from HF where needed.

Why do these made for outdoor but doesn't have cover to protect it from the rain? Rain water doesn't conduct electricity? And do you guys just leave it on the grass or have it up a bit to prevent water getting into the plugs?

At least you remember you have it and can use it when you do need it. I have things that I don't remember I have them. And I remember things I have but don't know where they are. Oh well, they will show up when I no longer need them. laugh out loud

You might want to upgrade that to power strip with circuit breaker switch. I use the switch to shutoff power when I don't use it.

Well this blew my mind 😀 . I will finally not have 10 thick extension cords all over my yard. Thanks Virtual69.
