The internal batteries are lithium, they shouldn't require charging every two weeks, NOCO recommends every 6 months, but most users are reporting that they have to charge it every month. Then again, if the discharge rate is that quick, every two weeks isn't crazy, but that tells you the poor quality of the batteries. not to mention the super low capacity at 2150mah vs other brands.

i have one of these and struggle to start my cars right away. ive had a cheap lithium jump starter and a few lead acid starter boxes, they were all able to easily start my car with in moments of hooking them up. however my NOCO always gives me problems.

These are great little boxes if and only if you keep them regularly charged and at home (which is very inconvenient if you actually need them). If you live in a place like I do where it regularly gets over 100 degrees you cannot keep them in your car or garage. I've been through a few of them and each time the heat killed them. I've tried this exact one and a few different brands and if you forget them in the car, they're toast. But if you're like me and have a motorcycle or two that doesn't get ridden as often as it should you can't beat the size and portability. I still keep getting these because if you have a woot coupon the portability plus price make it okay. Plus noco sells attachment leads you can route to your battery box and plug this into them to jumpstart without having to disassemble your bike. Just leave them in a riding bag that's stored in your nice cool house and set a reminder on your phone to charge it every couple weeks. No one wants to be the guy that ruins a group ride or poker run after pulling up to a gas station and getting stuck there.

"The specs of the Battery indicate a max output power rate 2150mAh @ 11.1V.
This is most likely for the jumper cables.
The USB OUT port is completely different; it outputs power at 5V.
So if you're using only the USB out port, the yield from the battery will be:
11.1V ÷ 5V = 2.22

I have the bigger Noco gbx 155, I
Use it to start trucks, cars and often times construction equipment…it is bad to the bone….I rarely charge mine in between jumps and often times neglect it. It has not ever let me down. A buddy of mine bought same one and loves it…did I mention I'm in Minnesota where it's even harder to start vehicles?

I charge mine ~4 months and leave it in the car. It will drop maybe 1 bar over that time. Doesn't normally get into the 100's here.

I've started 2 cars with this and both started easily.

Had no issues using this to jump a -very dead- battery for a 3.6L Jeep or a 5.3L Chevy. Holds a charge a long time too. I might pick up a 2nd one for my wife's car.

Yeah, my Noco has been rock solid for me; I live in the same climate as ol' Stoney and I've never had a single issue regarding reliability (maybe try storing it in the trunk instead of on the dashboard?) - perhaps they had a bad production run or something but I'm rather surprised to see this on Woot.

Got this on Amazon Black Friday for $69.95. Haven't had to use it yet, and also live in weather where summer gets well over 100 degrees. Currently keeping it under the seat, but hopefully it won't die during the summer.

You ever push start a bike? Even easier if you're on a group ride. Two guys give you a running shove, pop the clutch, and you're back on the road faster than it takes to hook this jumpstarter to your battery. If you can get the bike pointed downhill, you can easily push start a bike even by yourself under half a minute. It's a good skill to know if you're a rider.
With that being said, there has been times where I'm by myself, on flat ground, trying to push my heavy ass adventure bike to a running start, while wearing full protective gear in 90+ degree weather, where I would've killed for this Jumpstarter.

Couldn't cold start a V8 charger with 9.6v dead battery. Pack was storage charged, car charged to full, heated to around 90 degrees, and still didnt have the power.

A cheap, china made GooLoo box (that was half charged and cold), turned it over without hesitation. This things externals look nice and seem well built, internals are weak.

I have a GooLoo that I had to buy after my Noco died again. The GooLoo was rated at more amps and cost a bit less. I'm in Nj and it jumped my suv in 10 degrees

I have a couple years old Noco like this that can still jump start a 4.6L V8 but only with Boost mode activate. Without Boost activation, it wouldn't start anything - including a twin cylinder lawn tractor, weird.

I have the gb45 which has 25% more amps and usb c 60w fast charging in and out. I read the gb40 takes hours to charge. So far I've used it twice on 4 cylinder cars with instant starts both times. Haven't tried on my v8 yet.
