Just my personal review but Pixel 7 finger print scanner is still terrible. I'd say it has about 60% accuracy and that's after registering just my thumbs multiple times.
Once again, lots of confusion about the superfan codes.
If you get a code from a Superfan, it DOES NOT give you $100 off your order, but does "stack" with sale prices. When you enter the code, it should say "Know someone who would love a Pixel too? Send them the code below and when they buy a Pixel 6a, Pixel 7, or Pixel 7 Pro, you'll both get $100 to spend on the Google" and show a $0 discount on your current order.
If you're signed in, get that message, and buy a new pixel, you should receive a $100 discount for another order at the google store 3-4 weeks after your new phone ships.
Unfortunately, these $100 credits do not stack with ANY other discount or offer. If you're trying to redeem a previously received credit, you will be paying full price, so there's really no reason to try to use those credits during a sale like this since the discount is already better than the $100 code. You're better off using the $100 codes on something that is normally around $100 like the Pixel Buds A Series, which would just be free.
Not sure if that would help.
It is just a luck factor. May be wait for few more days and retry.
Probably the frequent price match requests by folks has raised concern to customer service and made it a no go.
Good point. Yeah, it's definitely a luck factor. I may just return it after all too.
Does Google charge a restocking fee if the item is opened? I really want to try the Pixel software experience for sure.
hmm then I don't know because i got my new code 4 weeks after the item shipped so my experience was quite different from yours. I literally had to argue with google support for my new code too because they didn't issue me a new one for so long.
This has been my experience too. I got all of my promotional credits in approx 4 weeks. I totally thought when the program started I could earn a pixel 7 pro. It's still a really great program though. I rock my superfan water bottle at work.
The reason Pixels are on the cheap is cus they've got a lot of problems and even hardware issues, i.e volume button falling off. Yikes, low price not really worth the possible headache?
Convince me that a 256GB P7 is better overall than my mint-condition 256GB S21 that's now unlocked after 24 bill credits, ending up almost free (after a money-making trade-in back then)... apart from being able to install Graphene on the P7.
And worth the extra $234 + tax via Google after trade-in.
I don't think you can.
I still use a 4a 5g. How much better is the 7? It's hard to give up free Google photos.
I traded in 4a 5g for 7 last year. If I had a time machine, I would keep the 4a 5g for unlimited back up. Not huge improvement. My 4a 5g after 2y was still very smooth and took great pictures, battery lasted longer than 7, finger print reader also better.

Thanks. How much are you paying for Google photos? My family takes literally thousands of photos of our kids... I dread the day we lose free backup.

If you want to do the free Google photos thing forever, get an OG Pixel XL and install Syncthing on all the phones you want to back up. Easy. The 4a benefit expired so it wouldn't be of any use anyway.
I like my Pixel 7 for a few months. It was a little annoying at first especially the swiping return back, but now I just do it naturally. Camera is pretty good and the cinematic video is fun to use. May even pick up a pixel watch in the future. Was able to get a family member use my superfan code and the next day Google sent me a new one.
