Wow got excited for a second until I realized this was the super secret employee pricing that not many people/companies qualify for. Great price, hopefully there are some similar deals elsewhere coming.

AUA are the Costco models. They have WIFi 6 and the NFC enabled Magic Remote.

I think you are overselling how much "better" QD-OLED is... Each has their own advantages, and neither one really comes out ahead of the other:
https://www.rtings.com/tv/tools/c...shold=0.10
Yet they picked the s95b as the better TV lol

And the C2 was bested in pretty much every category they ranked.

Just like pretty much everyone that knows anything about TVs does.

I was reading comments where they were saying some scenes on the S95B look fake due to the upscaling of the color.

QD-OLED is an OLED like oxtail and rib-eye are both beef. It's unfair to call QD- OLED "still OLED" because it implies they're the same. They're not. QD-OLED is far superior with the amount of light it can deliver.

Conventional OLED panels can't come close.
Yes, and they don't come close in term of extra grey…Samsung clearly advitised their stuff well

I don't think anyone takes Toms guide seriously. And even by TGs standards, that article, in addition to pushing a year old, is even less serious as no real attempt to run tests to compare the two.

Even with that though, they pick the C2 because it's "cheaper" and comes in more sizes. Neither of which has anything to do with panel quality and not even true anymore when it comes to price.

What does "in term of extra grey" mean exactly?

I would pick a lg tv over samsungs first gen qd-oled (nor would I want to pay sony prices), lots of qc and bending complaints... also weren't there claims of the samsung being set up to detect andcheat [youtube.com] certain tests?

Or can they Smilie:

2023 OLED Models [notebookcheck.net]
"Teoh's measurements indicate that both types of OLEDl can reach ~2,100 nits on 3% window patterns, but these figures are recorded at a 9,000+ K white point. When calibrating the white point to the industry standard D65, the light output is decreased. Samsung's panel drops to 1,313 nits on a 10% window, while the LG panel is brighter at 1514 nits. However, on a full field white screen, the LG OLED peaks at 209 nits, but the Samsung panel pulls ahead with 250 nits."
Note: These are preproduction models, both could potentially improve on commercial models when they release. Also these are what will be G3 panels, not in the C3 or lower lines

I haven't been able to even get a counter offer from VT. My offers are lower but definitely not low-ball. I'm just not offering current sales prices from other places because if that is the case why buy from VT.

Anyone gotten any VT offers lately? Looking for 77 or 83 C2 or G2

G3 MLA Panel isn't even released while QD-Oled was released last year, so by comparison Samsung and Sony have surpassed LG in many areas simply because of the QD technology.

This is why MLA is being introduced with the G3 to help improve color luminosity, but we have 2nd generation of QD-Oled which is improving on already the best technology.

Let's see what happens, impressions and reviews will be coming by the end of the month/

I'm in the process of returning my S95B and getting an LG C2. The Samsung has lots of problems, horrible color calibration out of the box, no DV, broken gaming mode, crappy software an anoying interface, and started seeing some quality control problems that are likely due to a first gen product. So not convinced it's going to be reliable long-term.

Compared to my LG CX it wasn't a clear winner. In some scenes my LG looked better and in some Samsung did. I think I'll wait for QD OLED to mature a few more years and then probably go with a Sony.
