This specific configuration is the cheapest I could find on Amazon.
Not a small reel, heavy, big line capacity. Would be used to target large freshwater or saltwater species.

Fly fishing you use your left hand to control the line, left hand with the reel when you need it.
So my Abu and Penn are both left handed. It's a joy not to have to constantly switch hands. I find a right handed reel just weird and I'm right handed!
This Penn Squall II is my favorite reel. I unfortunately can't use it as much as I would like, bit too much for pier fishing, I just use the 4000 spinning reel on the piers, from the beach the Squall is great, seldom do I get a backlash chunking a 6 0z weight with it into the wind.

I do love this reel though, and would have jumped all over the LH model if the ergonomics weren't screwy for me. I use it off my boat, and it's versatile - overkill but solid for bottom fishing, great for trolling, works for drifting bait in a slick.
