We have two pair of the Soundcore earbuds. They do everything these do (and have tunable EQ), and I spent 25% of the price of these for each pair (on-sale). Can someone please give me some significant facts as to why these Apple ones cost 4 times as much?

Yes, I saw a previous comment making claims about the drivers, the bass, the treble... But there's no data provided.
On paper I'm sure they do pretty much the same things. I have also owned two different pairs of soundcore earbuds and they don't sound as good as these, and while I didn't use the soundcores for meetings, I doubt the microphone is as good as these AirPod pros.

Also, it's worth it to me to have the AirPods automatically switch devices from my work MacBook, my personal MacBook, and my iPhone automatically with no intervention from me at all. Whichever device I use, they just know to connect seamlessly and they're always ready to go. That is also something I know for sure the soundcore earbuds don't do.

So if you want to improve your sound, mic, and overall integration if you have other Apple products, then maybe these are worth it to you. I'm in meetings all day and listen to a lot of music as well so these are an easy expenditure for me to justify.

But to be clear, no one is going to compile some sort of analysis for you. If you're happy with your current earbuds, just use those. 🤷🏼

What's the likelihood of this price coming around again in a few months? I currently own a secondhand pair of gen 2 regular AirPods I like, but I think they're slowly making their way out to pasture (right earbud randomly got quieter, now it affects both, so I pretty much always have to have the volume at max to hear things). Not sure I want to make the investment just yet but want to know how long I should be prepared to wait if I don't take advantage of this sale.
These are constantly on sale for this price. The sale will go away in a few weeks from now, but it will be back again. It might also be worth mentioning that the first gen AirPods were out for three years and the lowest price I think I ever saw those brand new were $170 so I wouldn't expect these to go very low. At $200 right now, it's a good grab.

This particular sale/price goes thru 2/10, but they will def. be this price again tho who knows exactly when? I'd guess, Easter, Memorial Day??

I decided to buy this airpods pro 2 from Costco instead of Target (having enough Target gc to cover) because I can return it back Costco if it fails after the manufacturer warranty.

As I said in an earlier post, I am not asking anyone to compile anything. I find it interesting the Apple adherents seem to see (and possibly hear) what isn't there. But you provided some good reasons you prefer the Apple. The Anker Soundcore Liberty 2 will switch between devices, and has tunable EQ. I just want to know why people think it's worth paying 3x or 4x for an Apple product (and you gave me some of your reasons). I thank you.

Yes they will. I don't buy applecare on Apple products from costco that have unlimited returns like my airpods max. These also don't fall under the 90 day return period, so to me no need for applecare.

I don't think this is accurate. I spoke to two Costco folks and they mentioned that any apple product only has 90 day returns and one year manufacture warranty. Costco doesn't provide additional or extended warranty. This is applicable to any Apple item that Costco sells. So if the AirPods goes BAD after the year , I am not sure you can return it and get a refund. You can return it if you aren't satisfied with it. Doesn't mean you can return something that isn't working. let me know if am missing something.

This is incorrect. Some of Costco's returns specifically on small electronics have changed this year:

"Costco's return policy is a risk-free 100% satisfaction guarantee that allows you a return time frame of 90 days after purchase or delivery to return your Apple AirPods. Once this period is over, Costco will not accept any attempts to return AirPods (or any other product."

Apple care for the airpods it's completely worth it. It gives an additional two years beyond the standard Apple warranty. So you can buy it today and get 90 days of standard Apple warranty +2 years with AppleCare. And it only costs $22. This gets you a full replacement for anything at all, even if you just lose one of them. Costco wouldn't cover that even if their full return policy did apply.

Do you have a link to what you're quoting if this is official policy?

You may have cleared things up about the Costco return policy. But I think AppleCare for these is 2 years only (while at a higher tier of coverage (accidents)), but it is 2 years total, not 2 years in addition to the default warranty.

I also would like to see what you quoted. Have not seen or heard that ever before. Honestly curious now.

Searched the costco site and still don't see what this person quoted. SOME Apple products have a 90 return period but that is clearly listed when you purchase those items, airpods/maxes etc. still fall under the 100% satisfaction guarentee. Please link your source if you can.
