Using a card payment processor at 2.9% you'd be able to cycle $4,000 for $116 in fees - add the $69 card fee and you're at $185 for Companion Pass and 34,000 points, which is a solid deal for 11 months of pass.
I got the Priority card a little over a year ago. I was able to add the card to ApplePay before getting the physical card.
Once the card appears in your accounts in the Chase app
go to the card,
click Show More under Account Services
Click Digital Wallets
I was able to add the card to ApplePay. GPay and Paypal are also offered but I did not try to add those.
Hope this helps someone. It's possible they changed this since I did do it over a year ago.
Have done the CP many times. This looks like an easy way to get it. Too bad I have no desire to fly anymore.

Ok thanks for clarifying on the cardholder anniversary points.
Isn't there typically a grace period though for earning points in the following calendar year (usually by Jan 31)?
nope. The earning period is January 1st through December 31st.
Because of the operational meltdown over this past Christmas, Southwest extended the earning period this year as a one-off, but that simply allowed extra time to earn points for a 2022-23 companion pass, not magically allowing people to carry over points to earn a 2022-23-24 pass.
According to SW when a statement generates with 4k spent, the companion pass should be ready to use.
In case you've never used SW companion.
You buy your tickets, then system asks if you want to add a companion.
The trip will be on two separate reservations.
Companion fare is taxed roughly $11..

I got the card and I only saw the Payment Due day which is Apr 6. I guess the statement date would be around March 10 according to other card's pattern.
I just called Chase support in regards to this promotion for existing card holders.
Unfortunately current card holders are out of luck and are not eligible for this promotion. We cannot get the 30k points or the companion pass.
It's a bummer since I just got my Priority card last December so it's fairly recent; on the bright side when you qualify for Companion Pass via points you get to keep it for the entire duration of 2023/2024.
I also asked if I would be eligible if I closed my current credit card and reopened it during the current promotion. This would not work as the promo requires a 12-month wait period between closing/opening accounts.[/

Thanks
That's not in the promotion language. It only says the product is not available to either (i) current Cardmembers of any Southwest Rapid Rewards® Credit Card, or (ii) previous Cardmembers of any Southwest Rapid Rewards Credit Card who received a new Cardmember bonus within the last 24 months.
I cancel my card every two years and sign up for a new card for the bonus. How is this different. Nothing in terms about waiting 12 months.
If I open the business card for 80,000 points and my wife opens the Priority card for 30,000 points, can she transfer her 30,000 points to me to get me closer to the 135,000 points needed for the 2 year companion pass?
Dumb question, but I applied for this credit card a week ago while booking Southwest flights due to a $200 statement credit. I wouldn't be eligible for the companion pass after spending 4,000 in first 3 months, correct? It's kind of confusing because they're the same credit card. Same card, different offers?? If so I would've rather applied through this offer

"These products are available to you if you do not have a current Southwest Rapid Rewards Credit Card and have not received a new Cardmember bonus within the last 24 months. This does not apply to Business Card and Employee Credit Card products."
Does this mean to their current SWA cc on promotion? If you have the older SWA CC can you apply?

That means, if you have any personal Southwest credit card at this time, you aren't eligible. There is no 'older' SWA card to distinguish.
