Using a card payment processor at 2.9% you'd be able to cycle $4,000 for $116 in fees - add the $69 card fee and you're at $185 for Companion Pass and 34,000 points, which is a solid deal for 11 months of pass.
I got the Priority card a little over a year ago. I was able to add the card to ApplePay before getting the physical card.
Once the card appears in your accounts in the Chase app
go to the card,
click Show More under Account Services
Click Digital Wallets
I was able to add the card to ApplePay. GPay and Paypal are also offered but I did not try to add those.
Hope this helps someone. It's possible they changed this since I did do it over a year ago.
Have done the CP many times. This looks like an easy way to get it. Too bad I have no desire to fly anymore.

Sorry , if already answered, but what is a card payment processor .is that a quicker way to meet the spending amount ...pls pm me ,if it can't be shared here .. Tia
Do you guys get the companion pass and the 30k points at the same time? I got my companion pass early this week but the 30k points haven't shown up yet.
Yes, received the companion pass and the points at the same time.
Anyone knows an actual way to hit the 4K mark in the first month? Like buying a Visa GC ? Don't think the card payment processor is an option for most ppl

Going to have to figure out the 1099-K situation though. $4,000 is going to result in a tax form being filed

Prepay bills or taxes, or buy gift cards at places you'd be spending $ in the future anyway and don't care about things like extra warranty (grocery stores, gas stations, etc)
When you're approved can you immediately use it, do they give you the card details right away while you wait for the physical card?
I signed up for this offer in early February and had to wait for the physical card. If you already are registered with the Chase app I think that is the only way you can use it digitally right away- otherwise (like me) I had to wait for the physical card which took about 8 days to get.
My wife is an authorized user on my card which I got few months ago, can she apply for this one under her name? Will she able to getthe benifits, since she is not a primary card holder?
Saw this question asked earlier with no response. In same situation. Anyone know the answer?

It doesn't matter if you were an authorized user under someone elses account. You will apply for your own account.
I was an authorized user on my spouse's account and they had companion pass last year. This year, I applied on my own and received a Southwest card under my name so we now have another year of free travel.
I also applied for my card with a referral from my spouse and they received 20,000 points for referring me.
Been some questions about when you get companion pass or points added to your account following meeting $4000 of spending. Our experience was we got our card at the end of Feb. and paid yearly insurance and met the $4000 spending by March 3. There was No email or other contact to tell us, (edit--email confirmation of companion pass came after I wrote this) but it was there on our Southwest account online, today March 11th when i was booking flights. Went through process and used the Companion Pass for a $525 roundtrip.
So we got it before closing, and before our payment was due on April 6th.
That's about right. Same time as the closing date. Why do you think it wasn't?
I was approved a few days ago and requested for expedited delivery of the card. They said it will arrive in 1-2 business days. Does anyone know if they require a signature for delivery?
